CFL balast heating

Hello! Today I noticed that my 125W cfl bulbs ballast has become yellowish/brownish (See pics!) It freaked me out a bit, is it normal or for safety reasons I should get rid of that bulb? If it makes any difference the bulb is from Phytolite - http://www.phytolite.com/CFL.html Bulb is quite new - 18/6 for about one month.

Hmmm, really no one ever had such an issue? I`m a bit worried, is that due extra heating and could there be a risk of ignition?

Lefty: after the pictures of Chinese CFL's blowing up on the internet I've become a lot more cautious. If the ballast portion of the lamp gets hot that doesn't scare me because mine have never gotten so hot I couldn't touch them but if it gets so hot it discolors to a tan hue I'm afraid I'd trash it and put in another. I hope that helps. I'd hate to see you come home to a pile of ashes. HSA
