Cfl basement grow

I have a quick question. My plant is getting too tall for it's grow area and I was looking on some input concerning a two step harvest. As in chopping the top and letting the bottom finish more. Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes you can harvest the top cola first and let the smaller buds mature, you would be putting some stress on the plant, would would potentially increase resin production and potentially increase the chances of hermi, but alot of people do it so it must work out.

Wellllll I chopped most of my cola this morning. It didn't fill out too well due to my light setup. The botom of the plant looks great tho. I'll probably give it around two weeks. I'll post an update after the cola dries.

Cutting the top of the plant really doesn't stress it too badly. I usually do this with my outdoor grows so i have a little bit of time to dry out the main colas (bout 5 days). Then when those are put in jars to cure i go and chop the rest of them down. This works out very nicely.
