Im currently veging 2 plant with one 125w clf and was wondering what should i expect flowering with a cfl light of the same wattage or higher? how much of a yeild should i expect? and whats the most i can do with this one clf ficture? i plan on buying a 125 or 200 watt clf 2500k for flowering but will that be enough for two decent size plants?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on the size of your plants and if your 125W bulb you currently have is 6500k (daylight) that should be good for maybe the first couple weeks of flowering if your plants around a foot-2 feet tall but i'm no expert, getting another bulb would surly help. I would expect around a 1/2-3/4 ounce off each plant possibly more, but it really depends on what medium your using, nutrients, air movement and a few more things. If your interested i'm reading this book called Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible By Jorge Cervantes, It only goes to chapter 12 of 17 due to copyright terms but it seems like a good book and is recommend by many other groewers, also it cuts out after a few pages into each chapter lol

Depends on the size of plants, but you will need your next CFLs to be 2700-3000k range. If you plan to use your vegetation CFL w/flowering CFL, your flowering CFL should be 2 X the actual watts of your vegetation CFL. With 3 CFLs, 2 flowering and 1 vegetation, burning you should get a great outcome on yeild, may 4-4.5 oz, but it also depends where you place your CFLs, how much you prune away. More the light, more the bud imo. Good luck...

what if i were to replace my veg 125 bulb with a 200w 2700-3000k and threw in a few of the 23w cfl bulbs of same color.. maybe like 6- 8 of them real close to the plant. my problem is the 125 bulb i have now for veg produces to much heat to keep my grow closet cool... on my seconed grow i want to do a little more planning and research so i could get the 4 oz that harley was talking about. i dont want to break the bank by buying 2 more of these big ass cfl fixtures i see some people get great results from the little bulbs because they can get so close to the plant

PS: im use a soil medium ff ocean forest mixed with 20% perlite, floranova grow and bloom(nether have been added since i brought them home), and distilled water with no ph tester(growing blind) in 3 gal nursery pots, LIGHT OF JAH, and KUSHAGE, and a small desk fan to create some sort of circulation, and mylar.

Im using a 125w CFL as well with the bright wing reflector I got 3 plants right now 4 weeks flowering. I also have 2 54w t5's and they are lookin great. If you check my journal I harvested one of my autos which was grown under my CFL. The auto wasnt showed as much attention cause of my other 3 girls. But the harvest was way better than I thought it was gonna be. Be very careful with the dry heat You will get Spidermites with those conditions you need some fresh air in there. You do need some humidity, you can try to put some buckets or some bowls of water in there.

I can not believe this. I leave this site for a few years and i come back and still see 80% of the people giving Bullshit info. Oh no, If you fart in the grow room they will hermie, If you have a little crack of side light it will not flower, blah, blah. Wow. This is why most of the good growers leave this site over time, they get tired of argueing with the idiots. Here is a CFL grow that is stuffed in a closet with no special sealing or anything, and they are flowering nicely. these two plants are 4 weeks old, 2 1/2 weeks into flower.plants 027.jpg

This message is not point at any one person. But if you are going to use these little bitty lights, you need a butt load of them. Get the Big Powerful ones. They cost more, but you need less of them. These are 63/300 watt soft white lights. and cost $15 each, plus $6 for the clamp and reflector.

Put a medium bowl of water in the area, let the fan air bounce off it abit. Alittle CFL bud porn for ya. It was my 1st grow....
Good luck
BTW Lord Dangly Bits, my CFLs are 85watt/350watt and 105watt/400watt, cost about $27.00 each

Those are some sweet CFL's. where did you pick those bad boys up at? Do they use a normal light socket? Looks like they do. Nice buds. Those are swelling nicely. I see you also use the reflector with clamps also. I have a cool frame i built around my plants for about $15, that allows me to raise and lower and move my lights side to side in seconds. If you look close in my picture, you will see a 1"x2" piece of wood going vertical. this is one or four corners. Then there is a base, a top, with a frame that slides up and down. Fast to build and in expensive. Much better and less costly then some of the PVC ones i have seen. PVC fittings are costly. $.75 times all the fittings and such adds up fast.

I do have to say, that is my favorite CFL grow I have seen so far in here. Other then a few of mine from earlier years of course. :)

I got those CFLs from Express Light Bulbs. I have 6 85watt/350watt, 6500 k, 4200 lumens, 8 105watt/400watt, 2700k, 5000 lumen, 6 26 watt, 6000k, 1700 lumen and 12 regular socket clamp-on fixtures. I'm in my 3rd week of my 2nd grow. Not much success in germination this go around, looks like I'll be cloning from what I did get, 3 Columbian Gold, 1 Blue Widow and a struggling Critical Kali Mist. On this grow I had installed ribbing in my grow-closet, so on this 2nd run I can place the CFLs anywhere. Thanks and take care
