I am getting kind of tempted and want to but a 600 watter for my next grow. I think I will veg under 400 and flower under 600. Does anyone think my cooltube 6" will fit the 600 watter???


Also, next grow I am going to test my limits and grow 20 plants in 16 ounce cups for veg (1 week) and flowering in 64 ounce mcdonalds cups LOL, I am serious, no fuckin bullshit.... Try to score a pound in 9 weeks,,,,

I think I heard something about that not too long ago, some kind of contest is set up no?
Well if you do plan on trying that, make sure you keep a journal, that would definately something

Have no clue about a contest. This will be a test and a experiment just to see if it can be done, 9 weeks 20 plants of unfem seeds, 50/50 ratio of sex and getting a pound out of it.......LOL

well I was able to sex and things are getting better. less plants, but the crazy thing is they dont look bad. i took out 6 males last night. i will not try to do a grow this big again under 3 shoplights and 1 400 mh hps conversion again. 15 is the limit for me, but you know what, no bugs and general good growth. Im a 10 year landscaper and horticulture student. light, temp, vent , and fert i understand. i just got to many plants. anybody no how much co2 will help

penny your info was good I found the sex middle top, just like you said. thanks I know I have too many plants. just trying to learn. I would like to go down to 17 or soI have 34 now, But they are big Maybe I should just give some away

I suggest giving some away, because your yield is going to be very low, or just wait until they are sexed and you can weed out the males...

c02 would help, although you need at least 2 1000 watt hps for that many plants. Alot of your plants will be struggling though flowering. I flower 4 plants max under 400 watts, and get outstanding results. In your situation, there are way to many plants for 1 400 watt hps and shoplights.....

the males are going. Started last night. got rid of 6. What do you suggest for 1 400 watt hps for flowering with 3 cool white on the sides. how many plants. Will i really get that much more from less plants

6 plants would be ideal with your setup, but you can probably push 8....

The problem with flowering that many plants with what you got is in flowering you are going to want to get your hps as close as you can get them to the canopy for maximum bud coverage. With that many you will need to lift the hps higher you lose alot of good quality lighting.
