see, thats what i thought would be helpful...but people suggested against it since the fan leaves are like light/food catchers for the plant.

look at the LST bag lady plants i have on my grow journal... I trim back only the fan leaves that are on top so the nodes below get all the light. all the nodes are kept at the same level so they all fight to be top dog on the plant. I'll put up new pics today.

update: ripped one male..ones def female and im still waiting to pid the other two..least i got one for sure..and its the biggest plant.

edit: and i trimmed some fan leaves and the lower nodes took off like whoa.

YOUR PLANTS LOOK GREAT!!! +rep.... i wouldnt cut the fan leaves off either. buds dont photsynthasize so why would they need light. the fan leaves are what need the light.. i heard you burned your plant. i wouldnt worry too much. i keep my lights so close that about 8 tips have burned. it hasnt affected the plants in any way though. im 4 weeks in flower (with cfls) and the buds are already thick as hell. CFL's can do wonders.. cant wait to see your baby flower out!!! sub'd.

UPDATE day 26 flowering. do you think the reddish of the fan leaf stems indicate deficiency?>ive had reddish stems before and everything turned out fine..and also i know its not time yet, but when would i flush and for how long?

Looks great man - red/purple stems on fan leaves is quite common.
Flush two weeks before harvest which looks to be well over a month away.

dude those are looking great man, are they still LST'd? hard to tell from the pics. anyways.... NICE GROW MAN! MUST BE JAZZED. I just found out that at least 7/9 plants are FEM with one yet to show. I could end up with 8 girls in a 4x4 closet.

no i never did lst..just plain old growing..how long do i flush for..and what amount of water??

when you flush for the last two weeks just avoid the nutes. flush with RO water. leaves will yellow some as they are being grubbed by the plant. this will get rid of any bad flavor. and will stress the plant to release some resin. looking good though. you got a while to go!

LOL at my lights...but i need more clamp on lights for the lower nodes/budsites..but im broke...and will water that i leave out overnight work??

yeah, imageshack...but when i clicked on the attach image button an empty url popped up indicating i had to host it somewhere (like imageshack)..and when i flush am i giving it more water than normal like flooding it cause the last thing i need to is to drown the ladies.
