you may be overwatering ... not trying to be rude just saying by personal xp...
thats cool mate, its just that i watered them last about 7 days ago so i didnt think it was overwatering, this john innes no.2 really holds moisture well, they were fine five days after watering so i assumed they were thirsty.

thanks for that anyway mate;-)

Hello, another cfl UK grower here. Those big cfl's look great and the girls look nice and bushy, good stuff. On my third grow now, I like my new hobby and it means dodgy scallywags on mountain bikes don't know where I live, if you know what I mean (AND their "skunk" is green, wet and crap). Pay as you go "broadband" runs out tonight and I'm skint.... so....

All the best.
hi there mate thanks for the thumbs up.

pay as you go with a dongle is junk, monthly bill is a lot easier and cheaper

and yes i love my new hobby, will be even better when i can smoke it :weed:

my head is all over the place planning what im going to grow next time !!! im thinking aload of auto low ryder2's

Hi tamjam

I think
greenlanter is judging by those last pics, taken soon after watering? That hanging of the leaves is indeed typical of overwatered plants, but its also what happens right after a good watering. You know that they have had a good intake but they should recover within a couple of hours or so.

Your watering regime sounds good to me. I miss 3 days between waterings and water until i see run off that i then allow to sit until re absorbed.

and im feeling sorry for all the little ones that i planted into those pots hopeefully that they are under 12/12 lighting i may be able to do something with the girls when they show but i will worry about that when the time comes.

i would tie them back a little bit. trust me it will help out a ton by allowing more light into the middle of the plant.

Hi mate thanks for the advice, the plants have 640w of cfl power right above them so when the bud sites underneath develop more I am going to add more cfl's to help out, ha ha how does 1000w cfl grow sound?!!!!!!!

still having some problems! now both plants are all droopy

they were last watered on sunday morning, i sort of think that the leaves feel slightly crispy but its not getting hot in there? i have removed one of the big cfl's just incase, it may be from the cold from when the lights are of as its really cold where i live at the minute.

and if i had over done it on the nutes wouldnt it of burnt them? all the leaves are green still

hav you tested ur PH? mayb an issue, allthough looking at the plant the leaves look healthy so i dont think u over nuted, wats ur light cycle you been using?? my plant use to wither like that for a few days after heavy waterings or stress due to movement of the plant ect ect anything can cause it, sometimes there just not feeling it!! giv them a few more days they should perk up, as long as the soil is still moist dont water untill the top inch or so is dry... but saying that it depends on the strain, my homegrown plant use to wither due to not enuf water even when it was still moist, some of them jus like a good drink!!

Tam, I'm now pretty sure its down to low temps during the dark period, I've seen that before when I was growing up there and as I said I had to add some form of heating. I'm thinking that with 700-ish watts there must be a big drop in temps once that is switched off. Ideally you only want a 10 to 15 degrees drop max between 'night' and 'day'. I suspect that its dropping way more than that?

Warm them up tam and watch the difference. You mentioned changing to a 250 HPS to me...... well I'd say go for it and add a small heater with a thermo setting and a timer, you will probably still use less power overall and the plants will thank you for it mate.

Otherwise plants look in fine condition and your watering schedule is clearly spot on.

Hope this helps mate, have a look at Argos maybe for oil filled rads, or B&Q etc ? thats what I used to use and even with the thermo set on low it does the job. They are very safe and cheap to run.

Also tam, why not take a few cuttings now? ...then you will have no more worries about males in future !!!

Right guys I've been to busy tonight to do anything, when I get home from work at 12 tomorrow I'm gonna rebuild the box, I just bought a toilet extraction fan and I'm gonna keep it sealed to try and keepp them warm, at the minute the door is always open to let out the heat with a fan outside the box blowing in cold air( don't worry the attic is pitch black when it's the dark period )

So with the box shut at all times it should keep them warm at the dark period, and with the extraction fan it control the temps in the box

will keep you all updated and thanks for all the help it's very much appreciated

Hey MS when taking cuttings do I have to use rooting hormone? I have some organic stuff here. And do I put them under a veg cycle? Under 6400k? Cheers mate

Sorry forget the bit about the cuttings, after this grow I'm gonna go with some auto low ryders after this grow, so in the mean time I just need to keep these girls warm
