CFL/HPS Lightning

If i have cfl (250w light) is there different light colours for stages? Flowering and growing? also could i just use a hps light all the way through? thought i had everything sussed but was looking into the CFL lights and now im confused lol

6400k for veg, 2700k for flower.
You could use hps throughout but may strech a little.

So you have a CFL that draws 250 watts? Or is that the equivalence?

yeah i see now Jesus CFL lights are expensive compared to HPS SO what about Veg CFL then switch to HPS? or would the plants get to much of a shock with the change?

The plants dont know what kind of bulb their light is coming from. They can only see the spectrum. And the veg/flower switch is when the spectrum changes for a reason. many people choose to veg CFL and flower under HPS, i do.

yeah thats what i was planiing on doing cfls till flowering which would be the hps im a newb but i think i got this part down
