I have four 27w CFL's in my closet with 3 plants.. is this enough lighting? I know more is better, but if I leave it like this, is it possible to still get good results?

Theres some formula for so many lights to so many plants but Id say thats enough for like the 1st week and then you need to add more. I have one plant right now with 8- 42 watt cfls wrapped around it and Im not sure if thats enough. Peace and good luck

Definitely not enough to take them to maturity. 100w per plant is desirable, and then assuming that they are in close.

I have 6 23w and 1 68w. the 68w is on top and the 23ws are on the sides of the plant so thats 206w on 1 plant. I just put it into flower so it has 4 2700K 23w bulbs and 2 6500K 23w and the 68w is 2700K. hope that helps. Its not to expensive to get more bulbs..a 2 pack of 23w bulbs are like $5-6. and instead of buying sockets for each one go to the lighting section of your local hardware store and buy "Y" brackets (a "y" that screws into a socket and fits 2 bulbs to a socket instead of 1) and you can even screw "Y" brackets into "Y" brackets...just make sure you add up all the watts and see if your socket can handle them all. I know I have $6 sockets and they handle up to 650 watts and the brackets hold over 600 i believe so wattage shouldnt be a problem with CFLs haha.

Thanks for the advice!! =)

Most pc cases have only three or four 26 watt CFLs. I saw a couple videos on youtube that didn't have bad results. One guy on there had a nice chunk he grew in a PC grow box.

if i were you i would try for more like 15 of those cfl's. i just grew a plant with 6 cfl's same wattage as you, and it worked out pretty good. i build a big reflector and that helped a lot. just get as many cfls in there as you possibly can, but be safe! good luck! and grow with the daylight ones, if you arent already.. but you probably are lol.

Most pc cases only need two 26 watters. The average pc case is .5 square feet. You only need more then two or three if you are using an oversized server case.
