Did you get your E27/E26 bulb and socket thing squared away?
I went through the same thing just about 2 weeks ago, I bought some 68 watt CFLs, and some of those clip on socket reflectors,
and the bulbs were too big to fit in there, they needed an extension. The bulbs were E26, the socket reflectors were E26, and
I could only find E27 extensions. I bought them and they fit perfectly. Apparently there is a slight difference, but not enough for
them not to be compatible.

ya i've looked at a few other sites and it seems to be fine to mix bulbs and the sockets. I am currently setting up a hydro grow (will be my fist time doing hydro) I have been growing for about 18 years though, mostly outdoors.
The set up is as follows:
4 cabinets, each 2 x 2 x 3.5. 3 for flower, 1 for veg. 2 cabs has 240 watts LED, 1 has 272 watts CFL (flowering), and the veg cab has a 90 watt LED.
4x DWC buckets
Strain: Skunk x Big Bud

Here's some pics from my last grow. They were started under the 90 watt LED, and finished with the 240 watt LED. That's not the entire harvest, that was just 1 branch.
