Im gonna start my first grow in a little bit my grow box is 3ft high, and length and width are 1.5 ft . im going to be using CFL lightning cause i dont have that much money. im only growing 1 plant, just 1 plant. iunno how many bulbs i need cause its cfl and diferetn watts. i was thinking 2 on the sides and a big powerfull 1 on top that i can adjust distance from im only doing 1. the top light i was thinking getting a 100-200 WATT cfl, and the side ones just like 25 - 42 or something like that is this a decent amount of light for growing in the vegeitation stage. what about flowering what should i do or change my lights out , still keeping them CFL to get good flowering. TY oh and i need a lightning fixture for my lights any help or links to homedepot and shit is gratefull ty

why not a 250w HPS? they aren't that expensive. 1 fixture. easy set-up. done. or keep adding more and more and more CFL's. i dunno.

Well, make sure you get the right cfl. It has to put out the right color light. Blue light (around 6500K) for veg, red (2500K) for flowering. Check out the GrowFAQ on fluorescents also.

4 23w warm spec, 1 big cool spec,

CFLs produce light in different spectrums, just like the sun does. On June 19th, the spectrums produced by the sun will give a faster tan to the skin than any day of the year! Regardless of the Temperature!
Anyway, the sun produces different spectrums of light in SPRING than in AUTUMN. You need both spectrums. One is a BLUE SPECTRUM, that is called a "COOL" light bulb. The bulb is vERY WHITE and BRIGHT. It is HIGH in Kelvins. It is for VEGGING. The other is known as a RED Spectrum, and is a WARM bulb. The bulb is actually colored pale, or cream colored. It is for FLOWERING.
She, Lady Mogie, is suggesting 4 23 watt bulbs, in a warm white, (for flowering, and are very very cheap) and one BRIGHT COOL bulb, the biggger the better, like a 42, 65, 85 or 105 watt bulb, as you budget can afford.

i heard that june 19th was the best day to get a tan,so i was out all day.when i checked my tan line their was nothing, but then again it rained from mourning till night, just my luck to tan on a rainy day.but trappers are hearty souls, but some times our brains get weather burnt.
