CFL Mini Fridge Bagseed Micro Grow

Okay after doing some quick thinking and some research, i think it is safe to say that my baby Alana is starting to show signs of chlorosis. I think this may have been caused by over watering that spread from the lowest leaves of the plant to the second lowest leaves now. I don't know what to do about this because i am leaving tomorrow morning. I guess i will just feed them with nutes and plenty of water and hope that it gets better when i'm gone? idk i hope i'm not fucked.

Edit: i'm drinking tons of water as we speak to water down my urine and im gonna use 1 cup urine per gallon of water. this may sound insane but i have read through and through this site and it is obvious that my plants need nitrogen. I will let you know how this works out when i get back on monday hahah hopefully this will do the trick. also i will ph this mix and add tiger bloom to it.:leaf:

Just gave Alana and the other plant their water. No nutes. Added 1 oz. urine to 7 oz. water for each plant. then i gave them each an additional 8 oz at an attempt to preform a wet/dry cycle. Each of them ended up with 500 ml total of liquid. Let's see how this experiment turns out when i get home monday! everyone have a great weekend. Smoke hard, choke hard.:leaf:

Hello all. just got back from visiting the girlfriend. hopefully the plants had as good of a weekend as i did. I will get pictures up tonight. The lights come on at 11 30ish (i think 11:34 to be exact). I hope the chlorosis did not get worse but i am VERY nervous that it did.

Flowering: Day 17 The yellowing on the leaves did not spread thank god! It stayed within the three fan leaves that it had already affected. Alana is 100% a woman, as she has now shown signs of white pistils on her nodes. The other plant is starting to look like it has a possibility of being male, but it is still up in the air right now as to the sex of it. If it is a male, i think that i will let the two of them have "sex" with each other and get myself a little bit of bud to puff on, as well as a HANDFUL of good, fresh seeds. I like the charachteristics of both of the plants right now, they were able to gain nice amounts of girth while remaining short in height. I just gave both of them 250ml of water with indonesian bat guano, as well as tiger bloom (which they are loving at the moment). Other then that everything is going along alright for a first grow and i am proud to say that i will have at least a little bit of bud to smoke when all is said and done :eyesmoke:

I have similar issues with bottom leaves falling off. I have apparent signs of nute burn so I know it's not that. I have heard that it is natural for the leaves that are shaded by upper foliage to yellow and fall off. What your opinion on the matter?

I am thinking that it is natural because my pH is fine, nutes are fine, runoff pH is fine, n-p-k levels are fine, temps are fine, and humidity levels are decent. The only thing i can assume is that the leaves are not getting sunlight, because they are shaded, thus stopping the making of glucose. That would cause the leaves to turn yellow because they would be lacking chlorophyl. I will continue to update with photo's and we will see if this holds true to form. Thanks for the input.

Flowering: Day 19 GREAT NEWS TO REPORT: 2 females!!! I could have sworn the one of them looked like a male. but when i checked today it had white pistils all over. Im very very happy that on my first grow ever, two bagseeds ended up both being female. Cannot wait to watch the nuggets form on these babies. Names of them are Alana and Becky. Gave them both 250ml of pure water. Nutes to come on day 21. :leaf:

Hello pattystaff89. I think it's looking pretty good! Although i didn't read all the answers, because something still seems to be off with the RIU web-page, my only suggestion would be to perforate the bottom of your containers. Several holes, maybe 1/2 inch, all around the bottom to let gases in and out, as well as allow you to control watering and flush your plants. That is likely to promote root-growth, which translates to plant and bud for you!

Whats up pattystaff. Looking real nice so far. Good job on the updates and picks, makes it easy to follow along. I'm a new grower too so I'm watchin yours closely. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.

Thanks for checking out the thread and thanks for the input as well. I actually cut 14 holes in the bottom of each of the folgers pots already. It makes it much easier to keep it fresh.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was really nervous with everything since it is my first grow but it is looking pretty nice so far. Hopefully the buds are covering these plants really soon. I get new pictures up pretty much every other day, which seems to be a nice amount of time for them to grow in between each photo shoot haha.

Yeah, i agree that I'm taking it too easy on them with the nutes. I gotta kick it up to full strength now, i was scared to because they were so small before and i felt like it would fry them. I hit em with some indonesian bat guano and tiger bloom a few days ago, i think i will use the same combo when i water them on saturday. Thanks for the advice

Flowering: Day 20 Almost at the 3 week point of flowering. Neither Alana or Becky is smelling at all, which is a good thing considering my living arrangements. Both of them have really nice healthy leaves thus far, and the white pistils are multiplying overnight. :leaf:

Flowering: Day 21 Well Alana and Becky are now at the 3 week old point of flowering. Alana is 35 days old in total, and Becky is 31 days old. The leaves on both of them seem to be "falling" to the ground sort of. Does anyone agree? Should i be concerned? Please comment if your educated on the subject. Maybe it is normal im not certain, it is still my first grow after all.. Other then that they each got 250ml with tiger bloom. :leaf:

Could they be rootbound? The folgers pots their in are rather nice in size, i have seen grows that use soho beer pong cups. there each maybe 1 ft. tall so its not like were talking about monster plants here... I really hope this doesn't get worse, I dont think it can be over watering because i check the soil every morning and after 24 hours its pretty dry. I water ever 48 hours with 250ml. How could they get rootbound in a matter of 24 hours, and both of them at the same time? I really doubt it. Maybe the soil is getting too dry? i mean it is pretty dry after 24 hours, like even two or three inches down its still dry. and the soil pulls in from the sides of the pots every time i let them dry.

Okay if you look at pictures from day 19, both of the plants have saggy leaves. I watered them after that photo shoot. Then look at day 20 pictures- leaves are starting to perk back up. Now look at day 21 pictures, leaves are saggy again. Anyone see what im seeing? After i watered them on day 19, they perked back up. But once the soil dried out after 24-28 hours, the leaves started to sag again. If the leaves are perking back up again tomorrow, then we can assume the plants need water more then every 48 hours.

I do see what your talking about...up the watering but do it slowly to keep everything under control. I'm new to growing and what your doing here looks really good!! Plants look really healthy especially being from bagseed! I'm starting a bagseed grow myself right now...waiting for the seeds to pop.

Thanks, it's great to see that bagseed can look this green and fresh. Hopefully the buds end up potent. Good luck n thanks for looking

Flowering: Day 22 Leaves are perking back up again. Gave them each 125ml of water today, even though it has only been 36 hours since the last watering, I have a feeling they will really respond well to this. :leaf:
