I was in the local pet store checking out what kind of lights they have and I came across tube flor UVB lights and CFL UVB lights.

I was wondering if I could use the UVB CFL for flowering and if so what level can I use (there are 3 diffrent levels)

2.0
5.0 (Tropical)
10.0 (Desert)

The numbers meen how strong the UVB is.

That light will not have enough lumen's to grow anything. If you want a cheaper way to flower Id use 150w SW CFL blubs and use about 2 to 3 per plant if there under 1ft closer to 1/2ft when you start flowering. then add about 1 more per 4-6in of veg growth. Keep in mind if you Veg them to 1ft tall, they will triple in size when flowering, so make sure you have enough space.

Those UVB bulbs are used as supplemental lighting to increase the potency of the THC or at least they say it will.

Lowes or Home Depot have both color spectrum(Veg & Flower) CFL's.

I cant use that many lights in this place nor do I want to higher a person to come in here and rewire things cuz that will start to heat me out to much imo.

Its bad enough my power bill jumped more then $50 cuz of my new tv and a custom gaming computer that's using 1,000w as it is.

I only plan on using 45w CFLs for seedlings and once they get bigger use 15w CFLs over a bigger area because they dont need alot of light juring veg

I already have both kinds that I need I was just wondering what strength of UVB CLF can I use juring flowering?

dude if you dont want to listen and dont want to use enough light then you dont want to grow anything da to grow these you have to provide enough light otherwise quit wasting time and go some where else

The UVB 10.0 is used with the other CFL's during flowering. Some recommend using the UVB for 5 or 6 hours per day. Also never look at a UVB bulb, it'll fuck up your eyes.

Yeah I would stick to CFL's here is a few picture of mine https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/221463-bubblehead-showcase-89.html I use only CFL blubs and they are doing quite well! I would stick to using the 150W blubs i find they are most lumens per dollar. As for the UVB lights if you try them while flowering let me know how they do!
Good luck with your grown and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
ok cool thanks. I will let you know how it works. I will have to do a few tests to see what works best and I'll be posting it for sure
There are also 2.0 and 5.0 UVB lights but I dont know if thoes would work as well. Gess I'll have to do some testing
and trust me I'm not gonna be that stupid and look at one

CFL's? Why not just grow with your flashlight?
Some people chose to use MH and such some perfer to use CFLs. It depends on how many rooms the person's house has and power draw they can have with out heating them out. Also it depends on if a person can only use a certin amount of wattage in their grow. The area tha I live there's enough people growing that they blow the big fuse on the power pole 2 times in 1 year and both of them was in the winter
