cfl vs t5 ho for vegging

So I been doing some searching.i already have 1 full grow on cfls.but I been seeing stuff about cfls catching fire or smoking.are t5 ho safer?just all the things ive seen online about cfl made me kinda worried.is there mercury in t5s?

Hmmm...that's a unlikely event. I'd imagine you'd have to really, really be trying hard to cause damage (or entirely neglectful and wreckless) in order to have them catch fire or start smoking.

I have no experience with T5's for growing but I use them in my home for reading, etc. CFLs are VERY safe, if used properly, of course.

Yea I deff went threw whole grow with cfls.im sure having that one fan on helped keep them cool where they even safer.im prob just being over cautious
