Hii I've just cracked my seed an planted it in coco now I can see the seed at the surface how far from the cfls should the top of my pot be?

really depends on the size of the CFL..are you using 13 watt or 300 watt bulbs? or something in between

during veg you want them pretty close to the tops of your little ones. as they grow pull the lights up with them. other folks may have differing opinion but any where within a couple of inches from the tops and maintain that..

it will be okay to start but you will need more lights....typically you should have at least 4 bulbs (23 watt) per plant, but even that is minimal for flowering

BTW: keep them close, about 2-3 inches when very young..even closer in a week or so (1-2 inches)

It's just to bring them up to they start veg then put it under a 600 watt hps I can't put them under hps yet as still waiting for extractor fan so need to use cfls atm how long will 2 cfls last me till I need more light

np...then the 2 CFL's will be just fine to get them started...that's all you need to grow seedlings up to 2 weeks

It's better if your bulbs are 6500k for vegging, (2700K is used mostly for flowering)

I grow under CFL for about 3 weeks, but I'll increase the bulbs to six or eight 23 watt bulbs

remember the 600 watt HPS is powerful, so keep the plants more like 18 inches away, then move closer as they get accustomed to the intense light

They are 6500k 1500 lumium how many cfls would it take to veg 1 plant I've read many different opinions on this

those CFL's will work just fine for 2 to 3 weeks...then you can use your 600w HPS to finish the veg stage
