CFL's are stupid. I took them down.

i added 6 27w bulbs. my electric bill went up $100. it put us into a higher usage bracket. i have 2 more i just stomped. the mother-in-law is PISSED!!!!!! she wants my whole grow shut-down. it's going to take everything i have to change her mind.

are u sure they were the energy saving CFL's? cuz that shit should not happen. i dont think my electric bill has even changed at all and i have around 6 and 2 more for clones.
 
how the hell do u manage to put an electric bill up that much with just 6 CFL's. seriously thats more than a 600w HPS running 18/6.

so there are CFL's and energy saving CFL's? 2 different types? wtf??
 
well, they are designed to save energy although it seems yours were not since 6 of em are increasing ur bill by $100. it doesnt seem right.
 
they must be cuz CFL's save more than half energy than regular household bulbs and i doubt by leaving like 3 or less regular lights on as long as ur 6 CFL's are on, i really doubt it would cost around $100+ for the regular house lights. Check your wiring and everything cuz something forsure isnt right.
 
i had 6 cfl's on one shelf, 2 on another. the lights are on 18/6. the more power you use during certain times of day the more they charge you. i had them running at night but they still fell into the "Peak Hours". then it bumped the usage from the 200% over usage into the 300% overusage. it goes by hundreds. i can be at 299 and still get charged at 200. once it hits 300 it goes WAY up.


i have the bill. i have dates from all my posts here. the meter is read bi-monthly. i know what happens in 2 weeks brackets. IT'S A PERFECT MATCH. you all can try to convince yourselves to believe what ever you want. me, i have to go stomp some more cfl's. i'm gonna go to Walmart and knock a whole shelf over. then sue them. hahahahahahahaha
 
that is dam wierd bro, it could also have something to do with your location appose to other people's growing with CFL's. Hope everything works out for you, i could imagine the disappointment.

i'm not disappointed, i'm stoked! i put the 3' floro's back up and my plants are taking off. and next months bill will be $100 cheaper. yipee. :hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::peace::joint::joint:

where the hell is g.knowm? he did a hell of a good grow using cfl's if i'm not mistaken he got like 8oz's off of 1 plant using cfl's. the strain was mango, that was the most impressive cfl grow i have seen! i think it was last year he posted pics of it.i don't use cfl's myself but i have seen a few good micro grows using them. i prefer 4ft t5's myself for clones,seedlings and veg. then its out to the greenhouse to flower!

There was 3 plants and Garden Knowm didn't grow them unless garden is seemorebuds. Seemore did that!
