Respect, so you would not recommend an inline fan of 170cfm and an exhaust of 170 too?? I will look for a lower inline if need bel o w e r. you want to create negative pressure in your grow space to control odor. if your input fan is higher than your exhaust fan then smelly air will be forced out of your grow space through whatever cracks exist.
Ouch, kinda shot myself in the foot on that one. Currenly in a grow box 2feet deep, 4feet wide, and 5 feet tall. Box is in extra bathroom, and since i have anything other than week ass house fans now, I keep grow box open and bathroom door shut. So far my temps are between 75 and 85 with humidity at 59-70% Plants will prolly be ready to flower next week, and needa get ball rolling. Got impatience and started plants (first grow), thinking I could adjust later. ha! Only 2 plants, u think they'll stink like shit if in basement bathroom still, without odor control?you definitely don't want two 170's but the right answer for you might be a larger exhaust fan rather than a smaller input fan. depending on the size of your space and your ambient air temps you may not need an input fan at all. for smaller grow spaces a simple hole (to be fancy, a "passive intake") works fine. i'd start with a single 170 on your exhaust and see how your temperatures behave. then you can decide if you need the input fan at all, or if your temps are out of control you can get a larger fan for the exhaust and use the 170 for the input.
messing with ventilation during a grow is a really good way to kill plants so i'd have all of this dialed in before you add plants. at least 24 hours of stable temps if not 48 hours before you risk your plants.
yes they will stink. at least buy a jar of ona jell and spread some around during flowering.Only 2 plants, u think they'll stink like shit if in basement bathroom still, without odor control?
