~CGM's early special & top 44 outdoor 2009~

Well, I'm a little late getting the seeds out, but oh well.
I went out to the local seed shop yesterday and picked up some Nirvana early special and top 44 seeds. I started germinating all 10 Early special and 5 top 44 last night. When they are ready i'm gonna bring them to my spot, put them in some little 6" pots with some holes cut out of the bottom and sides (for root growth so I won't have to worry about transplanting). Once I find a male and female of each, I will bring them to a couple other spots so I can harvest some seeds.
Any input/ideas/constructive criticism?

wish I had a local seed shop!

lol well its sorta local. its about a 45 minute drive, and there's a growing supply/bong shop and vapor lounge around the corner. many of you ontario pot heads will probably know what seed shop i'm talking about

So last night I checked the seeds, and was so excited to see all 10 of my early special with roots starting! (they're getting kinda long tho, I gotta get them out ASAP!)
Unfortunately, there was no growth at all with the top 44. But, this morning I was excited to see 2/5 with little white tails on them
So I will be heading out today and planting ALL my seeds according to plan.
I really thought I was gonna have to wait a few days for germination, but I guess I got lucky

I'll update asap, and bring more pics when I see some seedlings

well, they're out. i'm a little sketched out with the one spot I chose. it's very boggy and the ground might be a little too wet. like when i dug a hole it just filled with water, so i only dug enough so the bottom holes in the pot were under. Would too much water cause the roots to rot once they get low enough? I might have to go back tomorrow to move them to avoid this problem. any input?

this is a little diagram explaining what i'm talking about with the wet ground and how I placed the pots. I didn't want to put the pot too deep, because then it would completely soak the potting soil. (I'm bored and wanted to do something. shut up )

anyone think I should keep them there? or will the wetness cause damage to the roots?

No way bro! Don't leave the plants/pots/seedlings anywhere where there's too much water...that's a death sentence right there! You nailed it on the head with saying root rot! Do it quick...seedlings need moist...keyword...moist aerated soil, highly organic.

Sounds good. thank i went back to the spot today and its a little less wet because its been sunny, but i'll move them asap. the roots probably won't get too wet at the point because the roots probablyl aren't big enough. So in the next few days i'll go back and get that done.
on a brighter note, when I went today I found that one of the early specials has sprouted, and actually has its second set of leaves started But its the only one plant, the rest haven't broke through yet. i'll update next time i check it out and get the plants moved.

Well, I went out today to check on the plants and move them. I went to the first spot (not too swampy, dont have to move them), and 4/5 of the plats (top 44) have sprouted their second set of leaves The remaining one has yet to even show its face.

So, after a little watering and transplanting, I proceeded to the spot with all 10 early specials. I got there, walked into the tall grass, and to my horror all 5 pots were emptied and scattered. Was I robbed? Was it cops? I dono. But fuck it, i'm enraged and don't overly care. Am I discouraged? FUCK NO! I'm goin out to get 10 clones to put them out asap. (obviously not in the same spot )

I'll update when i get clones.
