Changed water only to have root issues! (pics)

I changed the water in 3 of my boxes, pH checked and everything, and I only upped the nutrients a bit, and the roots were hit hard. Check these pictures out:

Two went from 1/4 strength to 1/2 strength, and one went from 1/4 to 3/4. I used about 1/2 distilled water the first time and didn't use any this time but that doesn't seem extreme enough to be the problem since it's all been pH adjusted. I need to change the water on the other systems so PLEASE ADVISE

Compare those to these healthy plant shots of the ones whose water I DIDN'T change:

Not really seeing a root problem in any of those pics... Are you sure your roots aren't just stained from nutes? Over time they do get a light brownish color to them.

If you compare the roots of the droopy plants with the roots of the healthy ones, you can clearly see a difference. The roots on the droopy ones are not only less white, they are also
1) less voluminous
2) grasping together like they're curling back
3) and the tendrils that go out to the side are practically burned off, and unhealthy-looking where they are there.

It's not the WORST root sytem in the world but consider that the ones that are unhealthy are the OLDEST ones, and the root systems on my other plants are doing AMAZING.

the reason your root system not great because watering too much, not nute burn ,resulting in droopy plants with no vigour. can u reduce waterings ??

this is not from over watering because your in a DWC check your ph, ec ,and water temp and it really just looks like dye from the nutes is why your roots look the way they do

This post did make me think about air stones... Is your water getting enough oxygen?

Zyme would take up more money on a budget I don't have, and it just doesn't make sense that only the systems I changed would be hit. I'm thinking water temperature might well be the culprit, so next time I'll just let the water sit in the grow room longer and report how it goes. As far as dye from nutes, that doesn't explain the fact that the healthy roots have MUCH stronger and longer tendrils, they just look generally healthier. I use powdered nutes so I'm not even sure they do have a dye.

Now, *BUDS... I know I'm repeating what's already been stated, but, REALLY? Over-watering? My plants are hanging over water... This is hydro. I hoped the pics had made that pretty clear. I appreciate the vigor, but please don't try to help if you don't relaly know shit. It doesn't help.

One person also mentioned oxygen but again all my boxes have the same oxygenation, in fact I replaced the air stones in some of them and have some bubble discs which I prefer en route.

Thanks all for your help, I'll change some systems tomorrow, balance pH and let the water sit to change temperature before I put the plants in. Let yall know how it goes.

Well, I went to check on the system in which I changed the water, and sure enough, it's showing the same deficiencies even after having the temp and pH adjusted. This just doesn't make any fucking sense. Someone please try to make sense of it for me.

Someone please help me figure this out. The plants still at 1/4 strength that haven't had their water changed have vast healthy roots, and as part of DWC I HAVE to cchange the water everyy few weeks.

Nute burn? Really? Wow, I thought I was changing it gradually enough. That seems to be the only thing that makes sense though, it's just really odd. Water temps are decent, I did change those, and pH has kept within .15 of my goal (I use the color strips to calibrate my pH but my water and the nutes I use seem to go pretty well with each other).
