Changing light cycles

I want to change my on time for lights to night time instead of day due to heat issues. Currently on 2nd week of flower. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

when the lights go off, leave them off for 24 hours, then turn them on for the 12/12


edit make sure to reset your timer.

What he said, just extend your dark time until your new lights on time has been reached.

Yes, this was already discussed today here : https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/639628-help-needed-want-change-light.html

But Bama explained it in the most simple and understandable terms. Extra dark won't hurt during flower but extra light might.

yep 24 of dark then back to 12/12 had to do the same here in az it's just too hot to run our lights during the day

I would tweek it over 2 days plants need darkness too, instead of 12 do 19 then wait 12 and another 19 get your plants flipped maintaining max growth
