Changing light schedule

I have two different areas on a 12/12 schedule. One is about 4 weeks in and I want to consolidate to one area. The two areas are running opposite schedules. Can I make a switch and just have the plants in 24 hours of darkness one time without hurting anything? Thanks for any advice.

I would slowly change there hours over a few days
