yeah with a crimp ring.. the fitting blew out in the middle. insurance company tried to get me to go after the maker. but id get wrecked probably. pex does has its value though for winters. my garage and everything outside is pex. because it expands instead of just splitting.
yeah pretty much. i like copper more than pex for my own reasons. the claim is one of them. but i like that copper is straight lol. i hate how pex is all coiled up on a roll. annoying to straighten and measure long runs, and it just looks cheap. when i use it i use the white pex. not the red and blue, they look like shit. copper looks the best when its new. when someone pays you that much to do the work, its nice to give them something pretty to look at
Yeah, I've seen the plastic ones, but dont trust them. Never had a brass one fail (fingers crossed) a licensed plumber here is required to carry 2 million in liability insurance.
