that it was the discretion of individual retailers .. maintain their own pricing policy of these chips in its own market?

Didn't @Zulunature actually do this conversion?
I saw conversions from a few different models, but none for the marsII 900W 5w chips.
Growmau5 (youtuber) was the one that inspire me.

Why not just order from US sellers? Actually @BOBBY_G are you sure Citizen is ok with you reselling their cobs? They seem to restrict sales to official distributors and they are only able to ship to certain countries. Like CDI and tme.
I am in the UK, and the idea it was to do it asap, as I need the light back on place. That's mainly why I am looking at Europe sellers (for the fast delivery), but if the price is worth it I don't mind to wait a little for them.
If someone know where I can find a decent price on them, please let me know!!
Also I am not sure if the customs will make me pay tax? As the amount of money is not small!

Great thread here. Curious if anyone has built 4 CLUO58-1825 in series? What kinda holders/heatsinks would be compatible with that, running at 1050?

looks like the clu048-1212 has 20% efficiency on it. not sure what the use would be unless you were building a flashlight and needed a tiny LES
I was curious what lower current efficiency would be for the clu731 the data sheet I saw had it at 1750ma I think compared to 1000 for the clu48 sheet

its not more narrow, just smaller. in absence of optics all chips have similar radiation patterns if you look at the polar graphs on the datasheets

hey bobby, @CobKits

I have a need for smaller LES cobs and was wondering how the 14.5mm citizens stack up against the nichia 14.5mm chips.
Seeing as your working closely with citizen, I'd be happy to put in orders with you if the citizen cobs perform as well as as the nichias.
