yeah, u use the same idea for a "blower" a toilet paper tube stuffed with dryer sheets... they end up not working well fast.
and for a crop... the smell is heavy... i think only Coco carbon filter will do the job good enough.

aight keep up the Research mate! maybe do this.. you know how a coco carbon filter is made? make somthing simmilar but stuff like 5 packs of them into it.. so u wont have to change it for like a month lol, and it will smell fresh 
but lets say get a pale... cut the bottom off tape a plastic bag around it, have lots of small holes in the bag... put 5 packs of laundry sheets in, and there u go cheap and efficant

might be good for cost, but that's one hell of a chore you're setting yourself up for.
