Cheapest Clear Tubing For A DIY Cooltube?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where to source some cheap clear tubing.

I plan on making a DIY cooltube that will accommodate either 2 250w HPS bulbs or 4 125w CFL's depending on what I can get my hands on.

There will be about 300cfm of air through it so temperature resistance shouldn't be *that* important.

the bake-a-round tubes from ebay is gonna be your best bet there are tons of them on there even tho they dont sell them anymore from pyrex.
they are tempered and cheap and just the right size for smaller HID lamps

smokey, let me know how it turns out, with the cooltube i know u need a squirrel cage fan for the exhaust, but for the inlet part, what do you put? just a regular fan or do u need a ac unit to hook up to or what? can some1 please inform me?

Well my cooltube setup has a pc fan in my clone/mother chamber and a pc fan in my veg chamber sucking air through the cooltube and then sucked through an inline fan into a carbon filter.

You need a steady airflow over the bulb to cool it so either a fan blowing air through it or a fan sucking air through it will do fine.

Yeah dude, a Bake-A-Round is your best bet but buying like four will cost you like $100. Plus you have to consider getting stoned and breaking one like I did. But if you goto Michael's (or your local arts and crafts store) you will find a glass tube in the candle section for $7'n some change. Be advised that they are larger and thinner than a Pyrex Bake-A-Round. If you do stick to the pyrex, I have a simple Cool Tube on Rollipedia. Link in my signature.

why thank you my friend. Just a little tid bit.... DO NOT USE EPOXY TO BOND THE GLASS TO THE PVC INCREASER/REDUCER. That shit get to drippin' and smudging the glass you will need a small hand to really scrub that shit out of the inside of the glass. I did one side like that and regretting that shit. So, on the other side, I lined the diameter of the increaser/reducer with weather stripping put super glue on the weather strpping and then put it on the glass. That way the glass is stuck to the weather stripping The smell of the super glue is strong at first but let it breathe.
