Hey folks.... im new to this game...howev ive been on this site almost everyday for the last couple of months.... My grow consist of two female survivers... One is about 4 feet and the other about two... I am almost on my second week of flowering...My babies sprouted on 6/9/08...I started them off in miracle grow organic... and changed to fox foam after the first month. Ive been using some t5's for the longest... its a 2 foot ballast with two tube (23 watt each) 4000 lumens,one hps bulb and one mh.....I was planning too get an hps but couldnt afford it... maybe ill get it soon....What do guys think... any suggestions???????? ill try to post pics... oh yeah ive been putting them outside for 3-6 hours aday... i live in cali and the weather is awesome right now.... that makes up for not having the hps... or does it?????

Wow they look very Nice. First grow really? You did awesome and putting them in the sun is a major plus, just remember the 12/12. Your going to have some heavy Bud fer sure.

Regarding topping, opinions are mixed. I'd love to try it but I really don't have enough confidence in my skills at this point. Maybe next grow. Maybe I'll do a couple of my plants just for shits and giggles. I suppose I'd better make a move pretty soon since they'll be flowering shortly.

hey there fellow noobie. fyi, i topped my first grow and ended up with shorter plants than yours (i germinated at the same time) but with literally a dozen growth tips at the top of the plant.
your 4 footer is a monster for an indoor grow - is it mostly sativa and the other mostly indica?

Your next grow Fim them and let them bush out a bit, If they get to tall then top. Your clones can be any size or shape u wish. When your plants start to flower fim a few and watch what happens. Thats what I did and it rocked!!!

FIM stands for Fuck I missed it, reason is a guy went to top his plant in veg and he only took off 2/3 off new growth ( between top 2 leaves) so then the plant grew out 2 branches at that point. So when a vegin lady gets 6-8 nodes up I fim her and make the main stalk split into 2 that drives the hormones equally up.
When I fimed a new bud site in 12/12 well you saw what happend. Freaking Amazing.
