Me and my boy were bored one day,and we built a dry box to dry are buds. So here it is. Its funny we had most of this shit laying around the garage
This is a 16"x20"x36' plenium box used for ac supply my boy had for no apparent reason. We had pieces of 2x4 from a side project. So we mitered them so the could fit into the bottom of the box, we used finishing nails and wood glue to hold them together.We did not have any screws long enough so we made do.But we did have metal screws so we used those to hold in the square frame at the bottom.
After that we used a drill to make a hole to get the jig saw started.We cut a large square sized hole into the face of the box.This side is 16" makes the trays more slender tray cut any side you want.We also had some venture duct tape we used to tape up all the sharp edges.
This 1"x2"x8" is the one of the two things I had to buy for this build I bought 6 of these for about 98 cents a piece.We cut them to fit the inside of the box 16" for slider rails they don't need to go the entire length their only to hold the trays.We them placed them in different intervals.We used the same metal screws from earlier to hold them in place.
Moving on to the next step.We used the same finishing nails with wood glue from earlier and fashioned pictures frames style trays. Mitering the sides and cutting them to the approximate size to fit the inside of the box.
We had some of a roll of screen, used for making window screens.That we had left over from cutting are own screens for are home.We rolled it out not even close to being strait but is works.
We then used some scissors to cut out the screen.We then took the staple gun an stapled the screen to the sides of the picture frame trays.
We the noticed that the box needed more support so we placed a piece of 1"x2" in the front of the box to keep the sides of the box sturdy.
After making four of the trays you simply slide the trays into the rails and they should fit kinda loosely.We then used the cut out from the face of the box to cap the top.Then we taped the shit out of the cap and the top.
Using the jig saw we cut a circle hole in the top and the back side of the box.And then of course taped the sit out of the holes.
Next we used a thick ass plastic contractor black bag.Taped it to one side and cut out a square door .We then taped the inside and out of the door cut out.
The second thing I bought was small strips of velcro,I paid 99 cents for at the 99cents store. I attached them to the bag door and the side of the box to create the seal for the door.
All you need now are the buds.
Close it up and put a small fan at the back, turn it on low.
A little bit of air should be coming out of the top. YES!!!!!
It took two days to be ready, to cure works great.
It was about 7 dollars for me to build. But in if you dont have shit like this lying around youre house it could get pricey.
