Lumens is only used to compare identical lighting technologies. Nothing more.

I did a grow with 4 bulbs, added two more to the next grow, added two more to the next grow, added 4 more to the next grow, etc, etc, etc

Lummens is the only way we kno how to measure light dood. and i see roseman, NICE! ive been thinkin of doin a comparison grow, same strain, nutes, and water, and soil. then do like 400 hps and the equivalent in compacts. but seems like an area(space) i dont have tho.

A two pack of decent 26w cfls were just on sale at a local walgreens for 3.99. Ten would cost roughly twenty bucks. Of course adding in the other materials to make them work could possibly more than double that amount. Still a far cry from the arbitrary 100 bucks you claim it would cost for just the bulbs.

Also, to pretend that I was referring to lite brites as the more technologically advanced HID solution just proves how inept you are at this.

42w GE from wally world ~$8.97...clamp lights and y adapters...

The light brites was a dig on LED's...I was kinda kidding (before all the baseless stuff...it was based on experience!)...welcome new guy...my name is Hayduke! and though I aint no pro...inept is well...a bit harsh.

I proudly post my failures and some success in my journal (see sig)

Was that book insightful? I haven't been able to find a decent torrent that wasn't in spanish for some reason. My spanish skills aren't nearly up to reading horticultural tips. It was a true pain in the ass.

Hah I approve of the LED knock. In my fervor I missed the point completely. I think we may get along rather well The inept comment was about e-debates, not your ability as a grower. Apparently I'm more inept than I like to pretend! Can't even get my digs across properly

CFL's work, my current experiment involves one plant one cfl

But CMH (ceramic metal halide) is the bomb and if your a noob that has not purchased yet you owe it to yourself to look into it

There is a pound of dried manicured buds coming out of this closet in 4 weeks, under CFLs!

9 plants total,
2 giants about 44 - 50 inches tall,
4 mediums that are 38 to 40 inches tall,
and 3 runts.
In 5th week of 12/12 now.

i have seen them as big as 6900 lumen, 105 watt. its the equivalent to a 500w mh, whats it wattage brother????

i mean 400 watt MH hid, they dont make 500,lol, sorry
