Check out this phatty Aurora Indica!

Hey all at RIU! Alright I'm a complete noob at this posting stuff, but I've been lurking for a while. Anyways I just wanted to show yall this beautiful young lady here. She's on her 24th day of flowering and only 32" tall! So whaddaya think? I welcome any questions or comments! Also, anyone down for the ol' How-Much-Will-She-Yield game??? I heard its a hit around here. I'm saying like 2 zones!

is that the F-1 hybrid? i've seen that same plant on nirvana's seed bank and says its a powerhouse!

This was from Nirvana and ya they say its an F1. Some people seem to doubt this though since there so many different phenos. Powerhouse? I was reading a smoke report somewhere, dude took 2 hits and was wrecked for like 4 hours! It should be some fire indeed!

Wow! Looks amazing! How long did you veg for?... and what type of lights are you using?

she was vegged for about 45 days -- until her preflowers became nice and visible. She was the only girl from 6 seeds.

veg light: big 200-watt 6500K cfl self-ballasted lamp
flower light: 150-watt hps! (Its like 3" away from the top of the plant!)

Hell yaa dude! She looks great. Good size, plenty of fatty indica leaves and those bud sites are coming along nicely. That 200 watt cfl must have done work for your veg! I'm looking into getting some big cfl's for veg from htg supply next time around and hopefully can veg her up nice as you did. The 150w HPS is plenty for us small growers. The only problem with mine is that I do not have a reflector or have it cool tubed yet. I find that once I do this that I will be able to keep the light super close to the plants and see significant growth. I saw a chart somewhere that showed how many lumens dissipate from a 150w hps and the best distance was 3-6'' to maximize lumens getting to the plant.

Overall, sounds like you are right on track. If you don't mind, can you post some pics of your grow tent setup? I'll be getting a job soon too pay for my tent, filter, etc. setup and it's always useful for me to see fellow growers setups. Especially since ours will be quite similiar. here ya go bro! Ya i know these pics suck but i don't have my sister's badass camera today. The first 2 are of the little tent - its dimensions are about 2'x3'x5'. One thing to notice here - see that little fan next to the plant? - that's a high velocity fan! I got the standard reflector that came with the light and with that fan positioned just so, blowing over the tops of the plant and slightly up towards the bulb, everything stays nice and cool even 3" away! Don't get me wrong I wanna upgrade reflectors at some point, but if u don't wanna fork out the $$$ u could always try something like this. The last 2 pics are of the veg box in the closet (it only takes up about a 1/3 of it so at least me and wifey can still hang up our clothes!) You can see that its a little bare in there right now, but not for long! That moby just got put in the dirt this morning, so we'll be veggin soon. And so in anticipation of this I fired up the 200-watt clf! Its perfect for a closet since it doesn't get hot ...and I'm all about not having heat issues!

there's definitely a purple pheno with this strain. Sound like you might have lucked out!

The pictures do help and are keeping me inspired on my journey to do something similar. I am really diggin that you can keep your hps so close to the plant without any heat problems. I have one of those $30 parking light hps lamps and I am really looking into self ballasting (need some extra wire) and plastic sheeting to cool tube it with some computer fans. Then I can be like yours and hopefully keep it within 3'' of the top canopy, to maximize that penetration.

I am also on the search for a large cfl that I can plug in to the wall. Something that already is together and does not require anything, but a place to plug in. I feel as if I can get my hands on two of those I'll be great for the veg cycle. They say having these veg cfl's in flowering can actually help as well. I've seen it done a few times and noticed some decent yields.

All in all looks like you got what I need to do haha Best of luck with the new Moby, I am sure that it will be a monster and produce all the nug you want!

Here's aurora, 43 days in ...

any of you ever tried growing Nirvana's 'ICE' strain?

I've got a bag of Nirvana's 'ICE' feminized beans (5 pack).

I've got two of them started, today is day #7 of veg.. one week of veg out of the way now.

The reason I ask.. is because this 'ICE' strain is just magnificent!!! I've grown 6 strains in my (almost two years of growing) now.. and this one by far has got to be one of the fastest I have ever gotten my hands on. Germination took little under 36 hours.. and now, with today being day #7 of veg.. these things are just amazing!! Very very fast and quick growing strain. I would def. suggest this strain to anyone that likes fast growing strains.

And oh man.. when they're done flowering.. I'm going to have loads and loads of ICED over buds.. just covered in trichs. This is going to be a good strain.. I've got that 'gut feeling' you know? My intuition is telling me that its going to be a good grow. As soon as I get my Nikon D90 digi-cam back from my brother inlaw.. you can bet I'll be posting pics.. and probably start a grow journal for this strain.

I've never done a grow journal.. but I think this strain deserves some fame on the internet.

naw but I read about them. Apparently the chances of those ice fem beans going hermie is very low, which is what really caught my attention. I mean you won't be seeing me on my knees searching for bananas and crap no way! that why I don't really mess with fem beans too much. But ICE seems reliable and gots some frosty buds! >my AIs getting frosty tooo<):

we're coming up on 8 weeks here and things are looking pretty good i'd say! The buds are very dense and sticky and when you rough 'em up the smell is like fruity hash or something. She might be getting the flush tomorrow!
