Root Stunting:
Root stunting is characteristic of calcium deficiency, acidity, aluminum toxicity, and copper toxicity. Some species may also show it when boron deficient. The shortened roots become thickened, the laterals become stubby, peg-like, and the whole system often discolours, brown or grey.
Symptoms localized at shoot growing points.
New shoots unopened; young leaves distorted; dead leaf tips; pale green plant copper deficiency
New shoots withered or dead; petiole or stem collapse; shoots stunted; green plant calcium deficiency Young leaves pale green or yellow; rosetting or dead tip; dieback; dark green plant boron deficiency

hi guys, thanks for the quick response. in an earlier grow a plant looked like that in the beginning but grew out of it after a couple of weeks. On friday switching to 12/12 and will see what happens then. THought at first it might be some of this stuff.."Root stunting is characteristic of calcium deficiency, acidity, aluminum toxicity, and copper toxicity." but all three plants are in the same soil, same nutrients etc., with the exception being the LA Conf. she gets a slightly heavier dose of Grow it Green. I love the Blue Mtn. Organics. we use it on all our houseplants and what a difference...can't say enough about them. thanks again for the quick response. shannon

Another photo of the weird plant...a week older now. Notice how wide she got in one week and is about 2-3" taller as well.
