Checking Trichomes*************

So I went to Radio Shack to get a 30x magnified microscope but all they had was a handheld 60-100x microscope.. I was able to see the trichs but it was kind of hard because its not easy to hold still. Will this magnifier be better than a 30x or does anyone have any easier tips on how to keep it still?

You can snip off a leaf nice and close to the bud, lay it flat on the table and check that way if you like.

You need advise on how to hold still??

And another ? about hydro.. If i want my colas larger, does it matter if i use the third part of my solution(ripen) or would it make them bigger by using the flower solution w/it?

i know what you mean. the more it's zoomed the more exaggerated the slightest movement is, like using super zoom on a dig camera. i have the same radio shack scope you have. what i do to get the most out of it is first make sure it's on the lowest mag. i focus it to the ring on my finger so it's in the general range i want, then i have to brace myself still with my elbow on the wall and hold the plant steady with my other hand and hold my breath because breathing makes me move too much. i'm dead serious. once i was having a fit and then i remembered the fan was on...once you get a feel for it it's easier.
