Cheese Trainwreck 12 / 12 From Seed

I really appreciate the info and the rep (will hit ya back). I have the growing thing down good but 12/12 from seed is a different animal. I stand behind topping and LST so I am trying to get a strategy down before my next grow which will be 12/12 fom seed but I wanna top and LST so I am gathering info for the planning aspect of it. I am going to make it a bit trickier because my next grow is gonna be different strains and I am looking to perpetual by adding a new seedling either every week or every 2 weeks. Most likely 2 weeks as my box is only 22"x34"x24" to the plexi glass top. I was thinking that if I go every 2 weeks I will have a max of 5 plants in various stages of growth so it wont get too crowded. I have 4 Big Bang in there all tied down and it is full so I am thinking 5 2 weeks apart will work. Tell me what you think and if you have any advise what so ever I will read it and consider it. Thanks again.

Nice looking girls you got there !
My 2 cheese wreck & 1 church are 3weeks old in coco & fed on canna coco nutes. i topped them this morning & changed from 18/6 to 12/12.
This is because i researched you tube on keeping plant heigh down & came across a dutch grower who grows in loftspace this way. His plants are less than 1m tall on 12/12 form seed. he also tops them at an early age !
When will your girls be ready to harvest ?
Does this LST produce more colas ?
The 55 days is that from begining or end of germination ?

I am a little too inexperianced to help to much but from what you said above it seems like a good plan. I am not sure if the space will be enough but i guess as you have 4 in there now you should be ok with 5.

The 12/12 club is like 70 pages but as you make your way though it there is lots of useful tips and links to other peoples 12/12 grows. The LST link is great i really want to try this method of growing it around the pot as i am sure then you can keep the size small but maximise the amount gained of each plant!

Thanks they are coming along very well starting to get real smelly thought :-D

This is a link that someone gave me and its all in Dutch but its got great pics and is still current so you can follow him as he progresses. http://www.wietforum.nl/index.php?showtopic=68786&st=0 this is based upon the SOG method but is all using 12/12 and it really keeps the plants low.

In my experiance LST doesnt produce more main colas but it really allows the lower buds to get light and as soon as they do they start to grow towards it making them fat and longer than they would have been under the canopy of leaves.

The 55 days is from germmination of the seeds (they popped from the seed cases 24hrs after doing the papertowel method). It took just a few days more for them to break the top of the soil. I think i have around 4 weeks until harvest but the 3 plants will finish differently as the LST looks further along that the straight up plant and the straight up plant is further along than the topped plant as it took 5 days to recover and start to grow again.

Forgot to say but is just a suggestion... maybe changing the time and topping on the same day will be too stressful for the plants! it might be a good idea to keep the veg going a few more days then going to 12/12 to give the girls the best possible chance of making you the best bud :-)

So an update on the sizes which were missing from my last pic update...

LST 16 Inches, Straight Up 16 Inches and the Topped plant is at 18 Inches.

Hey 808 hows things on the islands ;-)

I will take some better pictures and have them up by this time tomorrow so you can see the last pics were weak so ill make sure i get a good shot next time so you can see the amount of growth that has taken off lower down.

Picture Update (with the flash on ;-)

The LST is really doing well with lots of low down growth and still this one shows the most crystal and at this stage an looks to be the most potent of the three!

This one i am very impressed with its the first time that i have topped a plant and it looks healthy and still these plants amaze me :-)

I am sure this will take about a week or so longer to finish than the other two but it should be worth the wait!

This one is now starting to be engulfed in bud its nt easy to see the stem any more so hopefully of the next weeks it will really pack it on :-)

Hi 808,

I hope the rain has stopped at your end... i guess one good thing about an indoor grow :-)

So the new pics i just posted of the LST show how many of the lower buds have started reaching for the light. I am not sure if we can call them cola's but they are starting to look big. The Topped one looks great and should hopefully produce two massive cola's of decent smoke... some people say topping it reduces the potentcy but increases the yield!

I guess in time i will find out :joint:

I like what i see!
I might try my next plant from 12/12 with an afgani goox Og kush cross-strain seed. Im germinating the seed as we speak. Any down sides growing from 12/12 fs to harvest?
My plant is just startd to flower. So i would say 5 days into flowering.
Fat nuggets,fat colas = hefty harvest!

I think the only downside would be the size of the plant and the amount you will get but that would depend on the space you have as this maybe a good thing ;-)

mine is 6ft tall so its good for keeping the temp/humid down but i guess i am wasting a little! I am not really sure if there is much else i could say that they take longer than just what the breeder says to flower for but really its 12/12 from seed but the plant will only flower when it can so add on a few weeks to the flowering time and when doing the grow keep an eye out for when flowering starts then you can set the clock for flower time. I think also the strain is important as the cheeswreck breeder/seller said it was not a high yielding plant and as i menthion below a guy who started the 12/12 from seed club has some massive plants!

Thanks man for all the info. I shall check that club out.
Also im coming into some Aurorapolo seeds and straight back crossed Aurora seeds.
Im get a 400 watt hps system. So maybe i shall do several different way of grwoing next grow. :leaf:

Lookin real good! I'm starting my first grow aswell and it was cool to see the different styles of growing here. I'm curious to see what they produce, I'm really thinking of at least trying lst on one of my babies but I'm still unsure. Which way do you think is turning out the best so far?
