Chemicals are the building blocks of life. Water is a chemical... as is copper. MMJ patients need to worry about inorganic chemical compounds in their medicine. The vast majority of chemical nutrients are NON-organic (inorganic), though more and more companies are going organic (even Miracle-Grow). You should only medicate with MMJ from a trusted source that uses organic chemicals. Inorganic medicine could contain heavy metals and other harmful chemicals that can stay in yuor body forever.

What is sewage sludge?
It's fertilizer from sewage.
Buds that have a refreshing or smooth aroma are organic.
Quality dispensaries will not give you dangerous weed.
If your weed smells like toxic sewage, try burning a small sample; you can inhale or not.

I haven't ran across a sewage smell with any yet. The itch was sorta like wearing wool. I have the same reaction when I take certain pharmaceuticals or wear clothing that has been washed in Tide. So far it's only the cheaper stuff that I have had the itchy reaction though. Plus it's not smooth and burns the throat a bit.
You should use high grade marijuana. Rather than smoking the marijuana you could vaporize it if your throat burns.
Shwaggy weed is not a pleasure to smoke. I do not suggest that you use it. You could try vaporizing it to check if there is a difference if you want, but you shouldn't. If you have a bad reaction to some shwaggy weed; treat it just like any other bad chemical drug and avoid it.

If your weed was not properly flushed by a experienced grower you too can still cold water flush on your own.
many growers are concerned with weight not the patients health.All products should be tested for chemical residues and pesticides by the dispensaries.Many do not know the procedures or have the equipment to do this for patients.Another reason to seek professional care giving services not just some farmer Joe who thinks he knows!

A cold water wash will not flush out the chemicals inside the buds. They are stored indide the cells of the plant and cant be washed off! LOL. Once the plant is harvested the flushing is OVER! You can wash off dust and trichomes but not chemicals from inside. Why would you wash off dried medicine with cold water?
