Veg these plants out for 4-6 weeks like you planned. Record the growth rates of each plant, take clones from all of them since the will be large. Label you clones to correspond with the plants you took them from. Flower the plants, record yields. The plant with the highest yield and fastest growth is your new mother, grow her big clone her for more mother plants. Kush grows really stout, strong indica so you should get some dense bud and high yield from small plants.

NewGowth is on point you can have 1000watts per bedroom. So if you have 3 bedrooms then those two 1000watts plus the CFL's will be ok. Also it helps if you are using electronic ballast because they use less kilowatts during the time they come on oposed to the HID ballast that uses a lot of kilowatts to ignite the lamp.
Actually the power draw is only about 10% less than magnetic ballasts. The lumen output claims are marketing tools too. Magnetic ballasts last longer and the power savings does not add up with the increased cost parts can also be easily replaced. If you want more lumens from the same lamp pick up a good bulb.
