Chick-Fil-A

The people who are boycotting chick-fil-a has every right, just as the owner has the right to say what he wants to say. I've never ate there before, and never will now. I just don't see the importance of the owner coming out against gay marriage. How does that make things better. In my opinion that was a dumb move. If you own a business you keep your trap shut about politics, religion, and race. No matter how much you agree or disagree with something you keep that to yourself, unless you want to run the risk of being put out of business. Chick-fil-a probably won't feel any ill effects of the comments made, atleast monetarily speaking. I do think that the owner will get a bigger head and think he can say and do what he wants and that his business is "too big to fail", and he will mess up and say something else in the near future that will hurt him even more.

I have nothing against gay marriage, who cares. If someone wants to get married then let them get married. All the people who are against it always bring up the whole, "God said it's for a man and woman" deal, and try to use the "it's sacred". Well, if marriage was so sacred anymore then why do we have such a high divorce rate? If you want to bring religion into marriage then that's fine, do as you wish, but you can't use religion as a scapegoat since divorce is such a common thing now. Hell, if these idiots want to bring religion into the whole marriage act, then they should remain virgins until they get married. What's the likelyhood of two virgins getting married anymore......slim to none.

They are just a bunch of homophobes, racists who by the way are hypocrites. I feel that marriage means nothing anymore so why does it matter.

Regardless if it was a marketing scheme or not I heard on the news that most stores set records and the company as a whole set a world record. Just goes to show that trying to demonize someone's point of view can backfire badly. Interviews on TV showed many people eating there that supported gay marriage but don't support people dragging companies into politics.

It amazes me the way most conservatives think and act. They claim to be for less government, but only when it concerns business or christianity. Any other time they want to use government to enforce their beliefs on people, or they seek to oppress and disenfranchise any and all who may disagree with them. How a group of people that claim to live by the scriptures of that book can spew so much thinly disguised hate is astounding to me. Their every argument seems to follow the same pattern throughout history. Anger at a specific group of people. Hate towards said people. Fear-mongering to attempt and justify said hate. Oppression and sometimes outright violence towards that group. Praise in the name of Jesus. ???????????

John Adams wrote in his Federalist papers of the dangerous ability of factions to undermine our democratic process. Conservatives and especially religious conservatives hold much of the democratic power in this country. Yet they are an ever decreasing segment of our population. As more and more people become enlightened and learn to reject intolerance, the balance can shift rather quickly. In order to do this more people need to become involved in our democratic process. Even if you don't believe in our country's form of democracy, apathy only empowers others to oppress you. Inform yourselves about the issues both locally and nationally. Don't allow others to enforce upon you their way of life. Vote people, it really is important.

I stopped going there when a friend told me their milk shakes come from a packet of powder. I'm not sure where I thought they came from, but certainly not a packet.

My heart was broken.

If the Black Panthers owned McDonalds and whites had to be searched and looked down on before they entered the restaurant...I would still eat there.

Sure it sucks that one old guy doesn;'t like gay people, but who gives a fuck? If the food is good that is really the only important thing.

Nobody is asking you to change. Many people, some you or I may know personally have fought and died to defend your right to feel and believe how you choose to. But anyone stating they have a right to certain beliefs , yet looking to squash the civil liberties of only certain sections of the population, be they women, minorities, lbgt is living a life of hypocrisy.
