chicken litter fert

has anyone ever used miracle grow organic choice plant food? its pasturized chicken litter and feather meal, the instructions say to use 1/3 cup for new vegetables? i plan on using it in holes approx 2'x3' probably about 7 gallon holes filled with 2 parts peat 1 part native/top soil. is 1/3 cup a dangerous amount in this size hole? ive heard that this stuff is strong!!!

it looks appealing though for an organic veg fert, last two months supposedly, and cheap 9 bucks for 6lbs @ 1/3 cup per plant its enough for almost 60 plants for a two month period.

ive seached the site and came up with nothing on chicken fert, so please anyone with any experience with this product or chicken litter fert in general, any advice would be very appreciated, mostly will 1/3 cup/hole burn 6-8" transplants?

also the hole will all be prepped with everything about 1 month prior to planting.

thanks

Chicken Fert is some good stuff, but very high in Nitro., too much will burn. Without knowing the purity, as opossed to other added stuff, like wood shavings, etc., It's impossible to give exact amount to use. But rule of thumb, the Suppliers wants you to use a LOT of their probuct & You can always add more later. I would start with 1/4th the recommended amount, and adjust every 2 weeks from there.
