Hello Shaggn, I have since changed the set-up of my room, moving away from a run-to-waste coco system to a 100% perlite hempy system. Copied from Flowamasta's setup. Also getting rid of the 400's and CFL's and running a single Gravita Pro 1000.
I am not to sure what the genetics of the Karragullen are, Sativa based i imagine. I was giving it from a friend who has had the strain for years. It is a strong strain that always produces well and has a good all day smoke. It had no name so i just called it Karragullen Cross.
I wiil try and finish a journal next runbongsmilie

There are 2 plants, both in 50 litre pots with 100% perlite. The Karragullen is at the rear and Moby Dick at the front.

Here is 1.7 litres of 43% spirit soaked in oak chips and some gobblers chipper for 3 weeks. The chips have soaked 5 litres previously. And two bottles of essence, i used half a bottle of each. 2 ml of Glycerine to mellow out the harshness of the alcohol.

A pic with essence added. Changes the colour slightly. Needs to sit for a week or two, then adjust and drink:cool:

Now THAT is an update worth waiting for! They look amazing dude :D you got scroggin down pat bro, top notch :)
Thanks a lot Mo. I am getting better mate! I am also very happy with Flowa's hempy method, i find it to be a very forgiving medium to grow in. Following the week of no water early in grow period and then some flooding issues, their doing fine. It is also the first time i have put in a second screen, it does wonders for supporting these colas!!!
Cheers for having a look mate.

I'm loving using Flowas method as well dude, you're right about it being forgiving and also so easy to use! I'll never look back now :)

Hello all, I have found something many would not want to find at this stage of a grow - Bud Rot. After an discussion on heat in another thread, I have been in my grow room a little more over the last couple of days. And just yesterday arvo I noticed 1 dodgy looking leaf on the Moby, all wilted and dead looking. Pulled the leaf off and along came a scabby bit of bud with it! Only a small bit found luckily, but enough for me to take all the big tops off her. A week or so early, but better than taking any chances. I will dry them inside house where temps are around 24-25 degree and 50% RH. I have left all the smaller lighter stuff to fatten up over the week, and will be keeping a real close eye on the remaining karragullen.

A couple of pics of a cut down grow room

P.S - Soup, you mentioned my name along side Flowa's in one of your post. I might live on the same island mate, but thats where it all ends. I know a little bit on the subject, but that fella is like an cannabis growers encyclopedia:grin:

Yeh i have only ever had one grow where there has been no problems. Thats what happens when you go farming!! I didnt find anymore, so i left them to dry out on their stems. They are fat heavy buds thats for sure. Yeh Mo, there is quite a bit still on Moby, and it is made the fat colas of the Karra stand out like dogs balls!!

Well i got a little bit paranoid over the weekend and ended up ripping all of the fat buds out. I didn't find any more rot, so the rest is all good. I grew them out to 29 days, and the tops were in flower for 56 days. The tops got a weeks flush with plain water. The remaining mid-storey will be left in till this coming weekend, fatten up on some blue berry final flush.

I can't wait to get my next two up and running now, anyway a couple pics

There was some weight in the Karragullen, colas weighting between 50 and 100 grams. And about 5% amber i would say.

Here's what is left in there.
