Yea The other night I noticed what looked to be n extreme progression of cal mag deficiency. I was gonna add cal mag to it but thought it must be the high ppms. I did some looking over on ppm to ec conversion and my EC was 2.8! So what I did was flush thourougly n used half strentgh aggressive formula. The girls seem to be recovering and it looks tobe that the nugs have swollen even more.

As for he camera Dr is right bout the date but for some reason when I try to change the date on the camera it wont let me. I should go buy a decnt digital nikon.

Th efloranecta im gonna stop using this run seeing as how im gonna switch to dyna gro. Just seems alot cheaper for the formula being used.

When I first started from seed she looked like a decent pheno. I had 2 125w cfls one flower and one veg bulb on her. When I moved the clones I tried to keep the light as close as possible but w a an ac n poor insulation in the house, the heat from this summer didnt help too much. On my next run though Im gonna line the walls with mylar, center the lights a little more for penetration, add another fan and add bamboo sticks to better control the branches from blocking each ohter. I had considered lollipopping but I think the more foliage the better but I might consider doing one or two just to experiment.

Ps My ppms are at 800 now which makes a 1.6 EC I am using a Hanna tds meter. Let me know if this is too low or too high. I tried looking for a good EC but couldnt find one that people suggest.

i was having the same problem with my ebb and grow system and i came to the conclusion that these systems are highly susceptible to root problems due to sitting water in the buckets, i noticed that the water sitting in the buckets gets hot very fast and stagnates quickly in between water cycles causing the plants to look very sick, i had this happen on my first 2 runs with the system and thought it was calmag issues but now i have raised the pots 2" above the control bucket (allowing for full drainage of all the sites) and also took the res and control bucket and put it outside the plant room allowing for cold air to keep the water chill and keep light out completely. im betting this is the same problem you are having, the system is a great one just has some flaws that need addressing and once you get them corrected the system perform very well. hope this helps:)

could you possibly take a shot of your roots out the bottom of the buckets? i noticed about a week after my roots hit the water in the buckets they started looking this way also the roots wouldnt grow much after that. after fixing the problem my roots now have lined the entire lower bucket and are now trying to grow through the 1/2" hoses lol.

Drgreen is right this issue is a problem for all ebb&grow system and are simple fix! Now that you have a root issue
Your going to have to correct it fast, i feel compost teas are the answer, h202 or bleach has never solved this issue
Fo me but teas are a win all! Ive done a ton of mods to this ebb system and so has drgreen a quick read over both
Thread might help a bit!

The last update was actually day 41 not 43 sorry for the confusion

I fixed the issue of the stagnant water in the bottom of the buckets by placing 2x's under them. I did take some root shots also. Dr you described exactly how the system and plants doing right now. In my previous grow with the schwag, some of the buckets had roots the shape of the buckets and growing into the 1/2 inch hose. The roots are a dark brown but Im guessing that it is because of the high ppms that I was usingand the dyes that GH uses, but u be the judge(sorry for the poor quality. The buckets are hard to hold up and take a pic with limited space). I will start looking into both Hellraizers and Dr's thread to fix the flaws that the ebb and gro has.

Hellraizer I use Florablend which is a vegan tea but I do not know if that is ne thing like the compost teas ur talking bout. But i will still look into the teas u use. Those will probbably benefit me more than the GH

Here is a couple of more shots of the girls.

Rxr im not fimiliar with that tea but im guessing it dont have enough different typs bacsilius, and from what i
See in your root pics and the leaves your plant is going dif! From the slime, gh has a bit of dye but not enough
To discolor your root like that. Heres a list for a good tea resipe

5gal bucket
A good air pump
X4air stones you want the water rumbling
Bag of ancient forest or earthworm casting, add x2 hand full in a sock tyed to a airstone
1 tsp of myco madness by humbolt, great white or myco grow will work to
2tsp of grandmas molassis

Water temp needs to be 66f or close
Brew for 48hrs

Adding instructions
Add 1 gal per every 10 gals of res water for the ebb&grow just add 3gals for 55gal.
Add 1 cup for every 10gals every three days after your first enoculation time.
The left over tea after your first use keep in the fridge and use as needed! Do not store later that 10 days, just brew more

Your slime issue will slowly go away about a week!

I could be wrong but I dont think that is slime in the pics. I had taken the pics right out of the water. I did go in the room and lift the plants to see if it was slime, after gently feeling around for slime, It felt like plain water. I will brew tea just to be on the safe side tho.

Few questions
1. How many gallons of water do I use?
2. Are u saying I can use the 1tsp with the castings or instead of the castings(or ancient forest)?
3. Would it be better to use the tea as needed or use it though the whole flowering?

For a ebb&grow system use 3gals of tea to star off
Earthworm casting or anceint forest either work x2handfulls in a sock

1tsp of either the three mycomadnes, mycogrow, great white

sure thing bro. i ran this system 2 times before doing this with my current run and it really helps, my plants would start to yellow at about 4 weeks in and it was pretty frustrating. it really is a great system just needs some fine tunning no big deal.
