So where do we go from here… Just get wax paper and weed and hook it up and just follow a vid I watched which went over actually a lot of what we went over here.
Pre heat for 2 mins 187 top 183 bottom with weed bottle necked and then slowly over course of 5-8 mins go up in psi till it is about 2.5 to 3 tons just increasing as rosin oozes out (oooh boyy!) and then release. 3.5 runs just to get started and on to the next level of enjoyment of this.

Get good heavy weight parchment paper. Anything from your typical grocery store usually sucks. Amazon has some good ones.
I would also get filter bags. 90 & 120 maicron are probably the most useful. You CAN press without a filter bag, but you WILL end up with plant material in your rosin.
I usually pre-heat way longer than that. An hour maybe? You really want those plates to settle in on the temperature you set.
My presses usually go pretty quick. Press to about 1/2 ton for 1 minute. Then another minute around 1 ton. Then it's 3-5 minutes at full pressure (2.5 tons) and then done. Release pressure and collect your rosin.
A freeze plate can also be helpful when the rosin doesn't gather well and sticks too much to the parchment. A quick set on the freeze plate will fix that, but be careful, those little shards of rosin will go flying if you're not careful.

you're all set then! i'll add not all strains or plants will press the same. Some give you nothing, and others dump like crazy. Certainly not a steep learning curve, but you will kinda develop a feel for it.

Should of went a bit more gradual but was fustrated. Im a damn clown and thought the gauge was filled with water but put the plug out and back in and it felt through and spent like an hr messing around with it. What ever I will ask mfg for new plug or figure something out. Pissed at my self but luckily im yielding something first try.

So I freaked and bled the pump because it looked like the rosin was burning up and darker sitting there. Trying my first repress, left overs looked like were present. Man I am pissed about the plug thing… I just do shit and not think but it really is just a plug to hold the lube or fluid in. Ive dealt with pressure gauges here and there and never seen one half filled with fluid.

This thread is going to be active as heck tonightttt! Need a smoke break after the up and down and up of mood. Had that stupid plug thing not happened Id be more stoked but shoot. I am pressing until I got nothing left to press. This is pretty damn fun, I was watching people do this for a minute now I am just geekin.

Amazing second press! It was so much yieldnI had to stop, the ooze was about to ooze onto to metal plate! So thats why you want large plates haha. First round was point one but I learned it gets messy quick so not trying to focus on weighing. Restarted the press to hopefully press some more first tier.

Just that alone was aboit guessing .7 to a gram. holy smokes… That wasnt even a perfect press, I messed up! It still oozin out on second press which is more of finishing it off and then I am repressing all pucks

Again, the weed used was 1 to 3 months old which the videos I saw said is fresh so explains the good luck. Love my store for hooking me up, thinking it was a computer glitch and meant to say its from a bag thats harvested a month ago. Using 120 micron there for.
That second press was 7gs which Im hooked on doing, collecting is a slight pain. If you are thinking about buying this press DO ITTT haha I am having amazing results already, even close to what I aimed for that got me into this.

Does anyone grind it to shake or how big buds? My second press was with .3 nugs which seemed better than one gram buds or bigger.

I always did short presses at low heat. Shorter squishes= lighter rosin. Put that in the freezer after press and it will change up the texture as well.
I always found my outdoor produced more rosin compared to my indoor.

just need to break them apart, like peanut to marble sized calyx clusters. Grinding it will actually hurt yield, like it gets too compacted or something
