choosing the right seeds?

so how do you guys choose your seeds if you get em out of a bag you got? ive never gotten seeds from a bank or anything, only had bag seeds, but here is my method:

i look for brown seeds with black stripes in them, and if i can squeeze them between my fingers and pop them, then i discard them obviously.. the squeezing pressure is up to you, go through some bags and test your strength and see if you can choose some good ones..

i use this method because ive done plenty of seeds i just couldnt crack by squeezing between my fingers, so i kept them and they turned out to be healthy growers.

BUT. if i get a bag of some good kill i just skip squeezing them and keep them and hope for the best lol.

I'm with you on this. This is my first grow but I have been saving seeds and waiting till I could grow. I'm not sure how many of the seeds I have from a few years ago are going to be good but I'll be finding out in the next few months.
