Chronic Pain Management Strain Ideas

Hi I'm new to cannabis growing, hoping to manage my chronic pain. I've tried many treatments without lasting relief and decided to grow my own cannabis after researching its potential benefits.
I'm 43, love gardening, and have a bit of a green thumb. I have started a small indoor setup with a Blue Slush Fem strain. I'm looking for tips on the best strains for pain relief, indoor growing advice, and nutrient recommendations. Excited to learn and share with you all!

For pain management, a lot of people have recommended 88G13HP crosses, most notably - from the breeder Bodhi. There are a bunch of crosses, but the pure seed line can be found too. https://dcseedexchange.com/product/88-g-13-hashplant-12-regular-seeds/. I have a few crosses in my fridge, and my keeper/mom that helps my pain too. There is some controversy behind this strain because the original breeder asked that it only be given out freely for patients in need and never sold or released in pure form, but shit happens.

For years I've kept Durga Mata around. It's always been my best goto for pain. Mine co.es from a shattered lower spine and so.e knee surgeries. RSD is my nightmare and the Mata has always been kind. It's easy to grow and gives soil to top colas. The taste and smell is delightful.

Hello, my friend. I'll put that strain on my next project I wanna give it a try(: as of the moment I already have Blue Slush from Cropkingseeds now on their Flowering Stage. When I'm done I'll do your recommended strain. How does that strain behave outdoors? I'm planning to do outdoor on my next project. Thank you for sharing!

I liked the puck crosses from cricket and cicada. Skunk x puck has been my favorite so far. I'll be trying out the Chem d x puck soon. Blueberry seems to do well also. Akbeanbrains has some nice bb varieties.

I have never tried the 1:1 cbd/thc flower because I can't find any in my area. Supposed to be good for medical use though.
I am growing a Dancehall which is that ratio though.
Also bought some 1;1 gummies to try.

For me, most potent mj works, but I can actually still feel the pain. I just don't care as much, but if it's flared up even an uncomfortable amount of mj can't kill it. Mine is a spine lumbar/neck and nerve thing though so it's hard to get away from that.

Mata grows big outdoor. It's strong against pests and mold, the only outdoor plant that seems resistant to bud worms as well that I've grown. It's incredible. I have a Mata outdoors at a buddies, I'll take a Pic next time I'm there, it's huge!

For severe pain I have had good luck with indica strains with modest amounts of rick simpson oil as a kicker. Recently I had a knee replaced and by the 5th day I was off opiods. Mmp was recommended to me by my pain management clinic as I was no longer responding to 30 mg opiod dose and was looking at the 50mg long release crap that seems to set some people on a path to destruction.

Great to hear it's so resilient outdoors. I’d love to see a pic of your Mata when you get the chance. Thanks for the tips and information.
