2ND RUN -
Serious Seeds: Chronic
Dinafem: White Widow
seedlings are under 1 x 26w 6500k cfl, once my 400w ballast comes in (next few days) they'll go under the cooltube.
Chronic popped and surfaced yesterday and the whitewidow was planted yesterday.

Using Roots Organic for the solo cups and will be transplanting into homer buckets with about 1/3 subcool's super soil. I have the super soil cooking in a tub outside at the moment.
Will be updating on this thread so wish me luck, and pull up a seat.

Here's the thread for my first ever harvest with a 150w HPS, should be alot better considering the upgraded light + I didnt use any nutes at all last time.

The cfl's hung through the top of the box with zipties, it'll do for now until the ballast comes in.

looks like a great plan. white widow was always a personal favorite. point of interest tho...ive heard from a few friends that the super soil can get pretty "hot" for your girls if you leave it ferment for a long time. 1/3 may burn some of your more dainty eaters..youll have to play it by ear but my philosophy is always go light and add more if they tell you they need it. ill be interested to see your grow progress; very interested in super soil results. good luck man

Thanks man, i'm hoping they don't get too hot, how would you go about adding more if they needed it after the first initial transplant?

Just make sure to take preventative measures against spider mites, fungus gnats, and snails, etc. especially with using organics. ive found a really good product in the SNS line. Specifically 209 and 217. i just had 3 Black Russian plants demolished by spider mites.

Yeah man, that's what kills me about soil grows. Of course I hate the buds getting ruined but I can't stand bugs in my fucking room. I had fly paper all over my ceiling last grow..

Not to sound like your father, but you should get that area of your room organized and cleaned. If you want to prevent mold, fungis, bugs, fire, etc cleanliness is a must. Plus, it feels much nicer working in a clean work area and saves a lot of time not fumbling through things with it organized. Good luck with your new lights though!
I'm growing G13xWW now so I'll sub up. Mine was pretty sensitive to heat, ph, and nutes thus far. Worst cloner of my 3 (POGK, Chemdog, G13xWW) thus far as well :\ Better be a hella good smoke or it's getting replaced with extra POGK next round.

I was thinking about growing afew Venus flytraps and Alice sundews from cobra plants. They look neat and they help keep pests away

Day 5

Chronic's looking good, WW not doing as awesome. It popped with only 1 starter leaf (cotyledon) which had me worried for awhile, but it's growing it's true leaves now & that's all that matters to me
*The Chronic is the bigger one with more soil

Day 8 - Running Smoothly
So it's been afew days since the 400w's been on & it hasnt given out yet. The WW is growing just fine so i'm worrying less about that now. Got my light pretty close to my plants now, tempatures constantly mid to high 70's :bigjoint:
The roots organic has been great with the seedlings, after reading how many organic nutes it had in it I was alittle worried about that as well, but it's really taking care of them nicely.

Afew pictures, the big ones 'Serious Seeds' Chronic & the smaller one is 'Dinafems' White Widow :leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:
