Chroniks CFL Grow journal

Hey all.. its been a while since posting on this site.. just figured id start a new thread for my flowering beautie.

Im actually breeding this particular girl for some seeds, shes been flowering for almost 3 weeks now, kind of a survivor plant.. i had planted her and a few others, but sadly none of them had made it due to nutrient problems.. i had a surviving male and a female and decided to make some seeds for future grows. I've also just put another 2 seeds that a friend had givin me in some papertowel hoping for a couple more sprouts. Planning on making another room here shortly too, strictly for flowering purposes.

my setup includes:
6 - 42w 2700k CFL bulbs
tropical plant mix and Scotts potting mix soil
15-30-15 flowering fertalizer
12 hrs of light per day
DIY light fixtures
outdoor timer

the plants total growth time has been about 7 weeks, 3 weeks of that being the flowering period. the male has already pollinated her just waiting on some budz now,

I'll be updating this journal once a week with pictures, ill also get some pics of my grow room (closet) and my soon to be flower room (bigger closet), once i get a few more goin

ill be updating pics today once I have some time, also have 10 more seeds on the way.. Strain is 5-star, got 10 regular seeds. Ill be germenating all of them once they get here.. Ill have my bigger closet going by next friday-saturday fully set up with 12 - 23w 5000k cfls and 2 flourecent tube light fixtures with 2 tubes per fixture, all rigged to the ceiling for adjustable lighting.. alright heres some pics i took this morning of my current closet setup and a few of my soon to be "room"..

I had givin up on all of my plants at a certain point, stopped watering and turned all of the lights off. Had 5 plants at that point in time.. I checked my closet about 4-5 days after the plants had no light, and was surprised to see 1 plant still givin er shit.. decided to water her and see what would happen.. sure as shit she started growin again, turned the lights back on to realize she was a girl.. and there happened to be 1 more plant off in the corner.. really tall and spindly from tryin to reach the light i had been givin to my girl, checked it out and it was a male already makin pollen sacs so I put them both together in an attempt to get some more seeds, and now here i am waiting for the results.
I was gettin really impatient waiting for my plants to make seeds so i ordered some should be here monday - tuesday..

Keep on keeping on! Flower them beauty's out for some seed and bud! Even start stabilizing the gene's and create a new strain with the seeds you have coming in. Have fun bud, subscribed.

Thanks dude i was actually thinkinn of that..gunna also look into feminizing some seeds with my upcoming grow

heres a filter ive rigged up with a couple pc fans both are 12v.. rigged up to a 120v adapter.. gunna be making my own filters with carbon and the carbon filter bags.. the bags were from an aquarium filter system.. should work well with the fans.. this will be going in my new closet once i get my new seeds in ill have the exaust blowing into a linin closet right beside my big grow closet so it will smell like laundry anyway... no point in me hookin this up anytime soon but i figured id get some pics up ny way

well i diddnt think the suction power created by the regular pc fans were enough so i went and bought this fan its a 3" AC Cooling fan, 120v, 12w its quiet too 3.8db 3,100RPM .. gunna go get another tomorrow.. for now im using it to suck hot air away from the lights and it works great! lol its like having a big fan, but i can get it a hell of alot closer now , awsome suction power.. only drawback is its heavy.. its in a steel casing.. im gunna assmble my filter once i get the second fan and see how well this works out

I added 4 more cfls this morning, since that ac fan is doing such a good job at keeping the temps down.. so now i have 8 cfls on 1 plant lol, 6 42w 2700k and 2 23w 5000k.. got some pics of that and i also took a few of my baby shes been growin like madd, shes beauitiful lol, kinda stretched but should slow down her grow spurt here right away and start producing those seedy nuggets. shes grown 1" to 1 1/4" every day for the past 4-5 days, i was actually gunna wait to update till wednesday but there was so much new growth already i thought id show u

alright i went out nd got that fan.. exact same as the one i got yesterday, rigged it all up and it works great as an exaust definately enough suction for the whole room.. looks and feels pretty solid too.. ill install it once my next grow starts smellin.. for now they will both be pulling hot air away from my flowering plant

Nice man! If you don't like how it's stretching though you can always grow with more 5000-6500k's, you can grow with straight 6500k all around if you really wanted, always good to have a 2700k for full spectrum though, but the more you add, the more lanky and fluffy it will be. Know it or not...

yeah good idea , this morning i replaced 2 of my 42watters with 2 of the 23watters, already noticing a difference, i only got to see 5 mins of my plant today just got home from work and my lights were ready to turn off.. but fuckin eh they already look greener and perkyier lol thx lil weedy

also an update on those seeds,i diddnt mention where i had orderd them from, they will be coming from the Vancouver seed bank.. these guys only ship within canada and take interac online, as long as u have online banking and money u can get seeds but it takes a couple days to process the order and about 5-7 more days till they get into your hands but any ways they have just been shipped today.. kind of disappointing but its all good i didn't take the holidays into consideration.. i wasnt at work so why would they be.. worst time of year to order anything.

well I was surprised to find my seeds in the mail yesterday, considering they were shipped on monday. It took 23hours total time to get to my place
the beans are already in some paper towel germinating, and they all look to be in very good condition.. Hope 10 outta 10 sprout, by friday ill start up a new thread for these babys.

Week four flowering

Here are a few pics.. my plant had gone thru some heat stress recently.. hence the curled leaves.. looking towards the new growth to see if the problems solved, as for the growth spurt, its finished now, plant is now concentrating on making thos seedy budz now, we shall see how they look next week.

Whats the strain of the seeds you got from VSB? i just ordered some kind strains from single seed center. i hope you dont plan on doing what you did to this plant to the new ones..

strain is 5 star,.. And no the same thing will not happen as last time.. Actually have everything organized this time around.. Ill be setting up the new room tomorrow as well as a new thread...
