well its an option beyond the usual 2700k

people like the vero decor and thats in the same 1800-2200k range i believe
The amber peaks at 600nm.

Of the Vero Decors only the 80cri 2500k Décor Food Bread & Bakery Vero peaks at 600nm.

The 97cri 27/30k peak at 630/40
And so does the 1750K decor.

Embarrassing how they keep harping on the 510-610Nm range being useless. Do they seriously not know that other pigments exist in the plants and the McCree graph?

Of course purple is fine for supplemental lighting and for plants with low light needs you can even get away with purple only, but still it's just silly the way they present this. Perhaps the purple+white COB could make sense for us though. If the prices didn't kill it.

What's embarrassing is you being at the end of the led bullshitters centipede crapping out crap that has gone through a dozen idiots in front of you. I know you're a bit "slow" but surely someday you will realize what an embarrassing dumb and downright clueless post you made above. :wall:

The militant cob fanboys managed to get Greengenes garden thread closed

Only noticed it now coming back from a layoff.

Really, many of the COB fanboys are barely one step above those who swear by their CFLs.
Or people who buy ebay cobs that are just as expensive as a citizen 1212.

Shittyvied is only a fanboy of himself. He added a few watts of disco ball to his COB light and pretends to have changed the world. Pathetic.

COBs likely will never be standard mostly because on large scale it's simpler to reflow solder chips on a board, and there are some advantages of having a multitude of lower powered boards.
Big COBs are giant hotspots, better distrubuted spread with diodes spread out.
Cooling of a larger surface area with a lot lower power heat sources is also simpler than cooling a hot cob.
And you can stack it since no big hot spot cob.

They do use white light
https://fluence.science/technology/physiospec-broad-spectrum-led-lights/

I remember them being blurple, not sure how much that has to with the spectrum being better. (if anything)
Though monitoring is more effective if the light has a higher CRI than the typical blurple one.

Im just not sure if i can justify the $143 vs the 33 for the cxm32's. Its almost double the output but more than triple the price.
Where do you get the CXM 32's? I have been looking for a good source on those. I didn't know anyone else was using them yet. Glad to see that you are!

I'm surprised they're that cheap digi-key. That hopefully means we will be able to get them for 40% or so less (like we have with other brands) thru other suppliers if they are able to start carrying them. But then again older model, and maybe they are trying to get rid of old stuff. The new ones might not be so cheap on digi-key and now they're in the light. Usually at those places we pay twice as much

For one to be butthurt "still" one would have to be butthurt in the first place... look in the mirror. What does "really being into leds" even mean... is that how you call your ongoing projection of the illusion of knowledge  I built a led light that will last me for years and actually grows bud and have no desire to spoonfeed you idiots any further ( you guys are so ridiculously slow it's not even funny anymore). I've been on the farm for 3 years... what level of butthurt makes you convince yourself it has anything to do with this shithole.

Shittyvied is only a fanboy of himself. He added a few watts of disco ball to his COB light and pretends to have changed the world. Pathetic.
Ah you fit so well with rest of the delusional morons here projecting their own flaws and wishfultinking imagination wrapped in thick layer of irony. Pretending to have changed the world is what the cob clowns do and you parrot like a brainless "fanboy". In reality the world hasn't changed and white cobs will never ever be on par with professional horticulture lighting. I haven't changed anything by improving e white cob spectrum, that would be like reinventing the wheel and is as usual all in your silly head. Keep telling me more about yourself forum-noob.

While you guys where all busy with finding the OMG spectrum so much color wow so much epeen.

This guy was growing high quality weed with superb results from a old cxb3070 bin. I though 600G from 400W power.

Nice sockpuppet reply from the sock puppet account:clap:...

If you think spectrum isn't such a big deal then I suggest you go and inform Phillips, Heliospectra, Valoya and all the other major players that they are barking up the wrong tree with regards to light recipes... Because you obviously know something they don't:peace:

Strawman...

There's no "the" OMG spectrum. Those people you imagine dont exist. There's no false dillema between crappy white cob streetlight spectrum and the for cannabis specific ultimate spectrum. All a product of your ignorance. There is however more and less sensible. Start with trying to understand spectrum does not dictate ppfd...

You have no idea how much NPK your plants actually use, yet you don't give them 1-1-1 based on not knowing the ideal ratio. Your argument, little sock up, is typical invalid wietefras "logic".

While you guys were all busy with finding the most luminous efficient white cob (something dictated by manufacturers and beyond your control) and the parrot is still parotting outdated riu bibled nonsense, the horticulture lighting industry and everyone with more than half-a-brain didn't pick cobs based on lumens per watt because some self-proclaimed intellectual dishonest led expert wannabees decided that was the way to go.:wall:
