Claw like symptoms (pics)

What nutes and medium are you using?

Sounds like nitrogen claw.

Pics are a little deceiving.

Better light would help.

Im using flora series 3 part from gh. I have them in rockwool cubes and hydroton. The buds form then just stop growing. Im under a 750 watt hps

NPK amounts of your current mix?

Usually N claw happens due to one of a few reasons.

Too much N in your formula.

Feeding too often with a high N solution.

PH out of whack causing N to be the most available macro nute.

Is this a full hydro grow?

What ppm is your res testing at?

What pH is your res?

Is your pH stable or does it bounce around a lot?

After you replenish your nutrients at a set ppm what does the return water test in ppm after 24hours of running?

I was following gh schedule for a rdwc system but since have cut way back. When i followed their recommendation my ppm was up around 1200-1300.
Now ive cut it back to about 500-600 ppm. My ph the last couple days has been dropping about .3 over night. I try to keep it at around 5.8-6.0! Its a complete hydro system. I dont usually add back to the reservoir. I do nute changes every saturday and just top up with tap water until the changeout.

Ok. Here's what I want you to do.

Perform a full nute change.

Set it at 500ppm at pH5.8.

In 24hours test your ppm and pH.

Post the results.

In future test every 24hours.

If ppm falls by more than 100ppm then you can increase the res strength by 100ppm.

Do this by topping up with water and adding your nutes to a total of 100ppm more than it was set at.

If your ppm increases by more than 100ppm then adjust it with pure water until your are 100ppm less than your original starting ppm.

If your pH is within the range 5.2-6.2 then don't adjust it.

The pH will change as the plants uptake different nutrients from the mix.

Only adjust pH of your res if it falls or rises outside if the range quoted.

Ill give it a shot dude. My ppm meter broke two days ago so ones in the mail on its way. Ill post the results with this test in a few and let you know what i come up with. Thanks for your input

No worries.

You're trying to find that sweet spot whereby the plants are up taking nutes and water at the same rate keeping your res constant.

However that sweet spot changes with every passing week do don't expect to be within the sweetspot for more than 2 weeks, you end up just finding it and then it changes again.

Expect nutrient demand to lessen As you get closer to harvest.

I was thinking about changing nutes anyways. Do you have a recommendation? I run a rdwc system with four 5 gallon buckets. Theres about 30 gallons in the whole system

Personally I'm a canna guy.

But I'm also a coco grower.

I've dabbled a little in hydro though as you can probably tell from my response above.

I really liked using the AQUA VEGA from start to finish.

It has a 6-3-8 NPK formula and doesn't leave out any micros either.

Good all rounder.

But it ultimately depends on what you can get a hold of.

I'm a big burner in less is more.

I use a 2 part base with a root stimulator, enzyme product, mono Ca, mono Mg, Potassium Silicat (Si) and a PK booster.

I average over 400g from my 400w setup.

Ive heard of canna, just really expensive stuff. I was thinking about giving maxibloom a try. Im just lookin for something simple.

There are two different causes for curling of leaves like you mentioned, over watering, and over feeding. Since you mentioned darker green foilage i'm guessing the cause is over feeding, cut down on the nutrients your giving. Try to avoid using high nitrogen nutrient formulas as well during flowering.

Heres my NPK 5-15-14
I was running them pretty hot at 1300 ppm there for a while so i think thats whats up. Im cutting way back now thats for sure
