Clean soap stone pipe the same as glass?

been using glass for a long time and i keep it really clean with alcohol and salt. i was given a soap stone pipe:can i clean it the same as glass?

I use rubbing alcohol and a course grain salt. Let them sit submerged in that In a big plastic bag and I swish it around once in a while. I use I think its 91% alcohol I get it at the pharmacy for like 2 bucks . I think it would be safe on soapstone too. My bowl looks like I I just bought it after its all rinsed off after about 8 hours. Try it out. Good Luck
