Hi guys just wondering what natural alternatives you guys use when it comes to cleaning ur grow and grow equipment, in particularly watering lances pumps airstones hoses etc.

I used to use bleach and peroxide for everything but then again I was never bothered about any of that entering into my medium. I suppose I could still use peroxide, but could I still use dish soap or is there a better organic alternative?

Thanks in advance for any pointers, I’m brand new to organic living.

My big problem is hard water. Lime deposition gets vinegar.

Yep, I second citric acid-you can dilute it in water and it will clean and help prevent fungus on surfaces. I also use peroxide, it's pretty harmless but best to avoid it on your skin, same with the citric acid.

Dr. Bronners or other brand organic castile soap with peppermint oil.
Wash with that and second rinse with citric acid solution or distilled vinegar.
I also use a dash of peppermint soap (enough to foam a little and Tblsp. of citric crystals in a gallon sprayer as a pretty effective pest spray. Can be used until your plants pistils come out, then I just drop the soap from the mix and use light citric and peroxide. Not that you askedbongsmilie

A lot of good feedback here I guess I’ll go with the dr bronners and citric acid, I’m guessing this would be good to clean my house with too?

I like the dishwasher on gentle mode cause I'm super lazy. Then I flush it out in a bucket of water
