Proper res maintenence means

Temps around 68f
1wt air pump per gallon of res
multiple air stones
no light leaks
no organic material

Deviate from that and you strongly invite root disease

If you use nutes that brag about chelating agents, h202 will reduce their effectiveness. In this case you can run h202 for in the res for a few hours before adding the nutes in.

Great white can be used with chem nutes no problem, however ZHO powder is a cheaper and comparable alternative.

Hey Heisenberg,

You dont know me but I just wanted to thank you for helping me out. I had the dreaded BROWN ALGIE and your posts on the subject helped me out Mucho.

Side note (if you dont already know): fungi.com is a great place to get micros, this is the guy that makes great white and most other comparable products. its much cheaper to go straight to the sorce. Also found out in my experimenting that a verry small amount of micros sprayed directly onto the roots and net pot works way better then dumping into the bucket ( i do DWC Buckets). Sorry if this info is redundent (you have allot more posts-experiance then I do).

anyway, Thank you again brotha.

Glad I could help. Thank you for the link, the MycoGrow tabs have the most complete collection of bennies i've seen and at a super cheap price. I'll be trying this in my tea!
