Climate control questions.

I am a northern californian resident growing outdoors. The temperature during the time I will harvest is typically 70-90 degrees during the day, and dry heat. Last year, despite following the steps in the Cannabis Grow Bible, my buds still came out smelling like hay. This year I plan to construct something to dry my buds in, something that I can control the climate. Last year I hung the buds in my closet, but due to the heat out here in California (and renting a house with no AC) the bud was dry in about 2 days and went into jars for cure. I've read the hang should take closer to 7 days for optimal results but it just wasn't possible for me.

I plan to get a hygrometer and humidifier to aid in climate control this year. I was thinking of building some kind of shed or dry box to hang in. I know I need to have good ventilation so i plan on intake and outake fans. Does anyone know if I will be able to control the humidity in the shed/box if I'm constantly pulling in air and pushing it out? Any ideas of how to slow this process down, bring the temperature down to 65-70 rather than the 70-90 room temperature I'm stuck with?

Any advice will help, I'm a second year farmer and appreciate any wisdom you may have.

how's it going bro. hay smell is regular, that's just the smell chlorophyll drying, curing process will take that away. as for your temp issue, I have never grown outdoor so I wouldn't know how to advice you properly.

for sure, what's your personal cure process? I've jared for like 4 weeks opening for like an hour a day, made it smell better but still like hay so i guessed it was the quick dry. maybe it has to do with the temps my cure jars are sat in...
