clone machine or soil?

Im considering a clone machine. Im curious how many of u use them? and how well they actually work? The only clones i have seen r the ones that were started for me. I am going to try and start my own before i flip the lights to 12/12. There are several differnt designs as im sure to most of you know. Aerponics seem to b the cheaper design. I have also been looking at bubbler styles but I am pretty open to whatever works best. I have 2 tents one with a 4 ft 4 bulb T5 and the other with 1000w mh/hps. BOTH TENTS ARE 5x5. And if it makes a difference I am growing in soil.

Please dont hesitate to reply. Thank u in advance for helpin out the newbie!

Dude, Cloner all the way.... Take Cuttings, and leave them for 7-10 days, and they have TONS of roots..... Transplant them into Coco, Dirt.... Then your on your way.... I bought an EZ cloner and never looked back.... Its sooooo easy... Well worth the $250 they charge for em

Ok A machine seems to be the way to go. Now I'm looking at an EZ cloner or a cold King. Anybody know why an EZ cloner is 250 And a clone King is 80? Design seems very similar. A Cloneking. looks like a great deal

I know you are not supposed to use a humidity dome. Is it recommended to mist the clones while in the machine?

With my aerocloner I don't use a humidity dome. They didn't even turn colors much when they pushed out roots. I use tap water and get 100% now. Make sure you clean it with bleach and water after every run though.

Well its been 7 days. Didnt get any advise on if i should mist the clones or not so i did not. I did get some clonex clone solution and added the small amount about 3 days in. Got signs of roots staring on 1 of the of 6. Noted the 1 that is showing signs of roots is from a lower more woody stem. The other 5 were smaller tips of fresh greenery. Does this have something to do with my results so far? I should note all the clones are green, a little droopy but look pretty healthy.

My directions said to mist them the first couple days. That's all I did. I just used hard tap water and had some hairs at 10 days and ready to transplant around day 14

A seedling mat, CFL's & a bit of rooting powder is all I've ever used (with soil).
100 % - I've never lost one & have even taken them at week 9 of flower (that took a bit longer).
Perhaps a machine is a bit quicker, IDK, but I'm very satisfied with the "old fashioned" method.

such a waste of money... honestly just put them in peat moss, put the peat in a clear plastic box, cover the box leaving only a slight opening for humidity, add light, and wait a week or two.... i get like a 95% success rate

Ok 10 days in and all 6 clones have signs of roots. I give AWESOME PROPS to The Clone King. 100% just like it claimed. So to all that r thinkin about a clone machine $80 for a Clone king is alot less than $250 for an ez cloner.

Unless you are mass producing clones, some soil works fine. BUt a cloner might make it easier on you. Apparently yours worked well so thats great

That was the point of the thread. Soil or machine? I have never tried soil and give no criticism towards that process. Just that the Clone king did exactly as claimed. 100%. I am very happy with my results and saved a bunch of $$$$.
