Clone Question

Been growing for a couple of years but only with bag seed as my cloning was terrible and I wanted to learn how to listen to my plants before investing money in quality seeds. Finally solved my cloning problems and got some strains one of which was purplewreck. One of the plants turned purple. Does that mean clones from that plant will always turn color?

My best answer:

Purple color is usually the result of colder nights during late flowering. But, if a plant does not have the genetic ability to display a purple hue, it wont matter how you manipulate the temperature during flowering.

So, yes, the clone will turn purple like its "mother" but you have to provide the right environmental conditions.
